Destructible Physics allows certain attacks to break environmental elements: trees, walls, hidden entrances... It's both a farming tool (breaking trees gives
Wooden Planks) and an exploration key, as several secret passages only open by destroying them.
How to get it
Nothing to unlock: you just need to use an attack that has the destructive property. Many fruits (
Bomb,
Magma, Ice...), some fighting styles (
Death Step...), multiple swords and guns, and even ship cannons have it.
How It Works
Each attack in the game either has or doesn't have the destructive property: the same weapon can break the environment with one move but not with another. Generally, it's the powerful attacks and large AoE explosions that trigger destruction.
Breaking the environment serves three purposes: style, opening hidden passages (like the treasure room in the
Upper Skylands, below the
Instinct Teacher), and gathering Wooden Planks by destroying pretty much anything, especially trees.

Good to Know
- Most destructive moves also break
Instinct, but none can pass through the unique wall created by Creation's M1. - Some enemies also have Destructible Physics.
- Most swords from the
Second Sea don't break trees. - Nothing is destructible in Raids, on
Treasure Island, or on
Mirage Island: trees and buildings there are unbreakable. - The Awakened Buddha jump also breaks objects.
- Outside classic weapons:
Cyborg V4 breaks the environment with its Energy Control Tier 2 jump, just as do the cannon shots from
Brigade,
Grand Brigade,
Guardian, and
Lantern ships.
