Electric (formerly Electro) is a fighting style you can buy from the
First Sea that lets you channel electricity in your hands. All of its moves are area-of-effect attacks: that's intentional, so beginners can group enemies and hit them all at once. It's the V1 style with the strongest damage output (
Superhuman aside), it hits
Sea Beasts, and it works wonders with
Buddha. In PvP though, it remains slow, ground-level, and very predictable.
How to get it
From the
Mad Scientist for 500,000 Beli, with no
Mastery requirement. Since the Update 30, he also asks for a
Lightning Bolt, a material you can get by destroying a rare storm cloud at the
Skylands, where he stays himself.
You can find him near the
Boat Dealer at the Skylands (First Sea), on the hot side of
Hot and Cold (
Second Sea), and at the
Castle on the Sea (
Third Sea). The style can be bought in any sea.
One Lightning Bolt is enough. Handing it over also completes the Skylands island secret Missing Lightning Bolt.
Moveset
| Key | Move | Preview | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| M1 | Electric Fists | Three consecutive punches, ending with an uppercut that knocks the target back. Slow click speed: the source page presents it as correct in its strengths, but also ranks it as the second slowest in the game, behind |
|
| Z | Stomp Mas. 50 |
You leap into the air, charge your hand with electricity, hover for a second, then crash to the ground in a small lightning explosion. The move is directional by holding a direction key when launching it (forward, back, left, right). Cooldown 6 s, 20 energy. Useful for jumping over a slow startup move and counter-attacking, but short range, long startup, easy to dodge, and ineffective in PvP. It also sends enemies airborne, which complicates combos. | |
| X | Electrical Tackle Mas. 100 |
You dash toward your cursor, dealing moderate damage. Cooldown 10 s, 30 energy. It's mainly a mobility tool, very useful for repositioning mid-air, with decent range and combo potential. The downside: tiny hitbox, you need to stick to the enemy, and end-lag is significant, so unreliable in duels. | |
| C | Electrical Floor Mas. 200 |
You strike the ground with both fists and electrify the area in front of you for a few seconds: damage per tick and continuous stun for the duration. Cooldown 15 s, 60 energy. It's one of the most powerful V1 style moves and can stun multiple enemies at once, making it a formidable raid weapon. Be careful: short range, you remain locked in place during the animation, sometimes only half the area works, and an opponent under |
How far to level up Mastery
- 300+: Electric is one of the prerequisites to obtain Superhuman in the Second Sea (or the Third Sea).
- 400+: Electric can be upgraded to
Electric Claw in the Third Sea.
In other words, even if you don't like the style, leveling up its Mastery is never time wasted: the two most sought-after styles in early game go through it.
Cooldowns and energy
| Key | Move | Cooldown | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Z | Stomp | 6 s | 20 |
| X | Electrical Tackle | 10 s | 30 |
| C | Electrical Floor | 15 s | 60 |
Against Instinct
| Move | Breaks Instinct? | Dodgeable with Instinct? |
|---|---|---|
| Z Stomp | No | Yes |
| X Electrical Tackle | No | Yes |
| C Electrical Floor | No | Yes |
None of Electric's moves break Instinct: against an opponent who has it activated, your [C] Electrical Floor becomes useless. This is the main reason why this style doesn't keep up in high-level PvP.
Tips and synergies
- Farm in the First Sea: Electric is considered one of the best styles in the First Sea for grinding, just like
Water Kung Fu. - [Z] Stomp: with a bit of aim, you can chain [X] Electrical Tackle mid-air right after. With Buddha's awakened [Z], Stomp travels about twice as far.
- [X] Electrical Tackle: under Buddha's [Z] (awakened or not), the hitbox is positioned at arm height.
- [C] Electrical Floor: you can switch to another ability during the move to chain quickly, which opens up real combo potential. Under Buddha's [Z], the hitbox rises to hand height instead of staying on the ground. In raid, it's excellent: you stun the boss while others attack freely.
Did you know?
- Electric can't do anything to
Rubber users: rubber is immune to electricity. - When equipped, your hands are covered in electricity. It's purely cosmetic.
- There's a bug: after already buying it, re-equipping Electric can ask for 500,000 Beli again. When this bug happens, you need to have the
Saber puzzle Relic in your inventory. - The old version of Electric is the one used by the enemy
Shocker you encounter in raids. - Small inconsistency in the source page: it praises decent click speed in its strengths, while ranking it as the second slowest style in the game (behind Dark Step, excluding
Combat) in its weaknesses.
Strengths and weaknesses
- The V1 style with the most damage output (excluding Superhuman)
- Excellent choice for beginners and Buddha users
- All moves hit Sea Beasts
- [C] Electrical Floor: long area stun and damage over time
- Cannot hit Rubber users
- Second slowest click speed (behind Dark Step)
- Ground-based attacks, easy to dodge and predictable
- [Z] Stomp ineffective in PvP
Our take
A solid investment from the First Sea for farming, especially with Buddha. Level it to 300 for Superhuman then 400 for Electric Claw, much better in duels.
