Blade

CommonNatural

Blade (formerly Chop) grows sharp blades on your limbs - they automatically parry Sword attacks, including those charged with Aura, making it the clearest counter to sword players in PvP, especially Portal, Ice and Buddha users. For 30,000 Beli you get ranged M1s with decent range, huge staggers, moves that break Instinct and large areas of effect - it's one of the best farming fruits in the First Sea, much less convincing in the following seas where its damage and range fall short. Note that the source contradicts itself on the immunity threshold against NPCs - its list of strengths mentions approximately 104% of the enemy's level, the passive description says 105 to 106%. Against other players, however, no minimum level is required, and immunity never works on Bosses or Raid Bosses.

How to get it

Blade is bought for 30,000 Beli or 100 Robux from the Blox Fruit Dealer when in stock (check the live feed below), and it can also drop from the Dealer's gacha. Its Common rarity and high chance of appearing in stock make it one of the easiest fruits to get in the game - for reference, Spring costs exactly double. It's also the cheapest fruit to have an M1, with Bomb being the only other Common to have one. Two details before buying - its icon shows purple circular saws, echoing the blade rotation in nearly all its moves, and the Chef, the First Sea boss, uses the exact same arsenal if you want to see the fruit in action.

Moveset

KeyMovePreviewDescription
M1 Blade's Edge Blades grow on your arm and each hit sends purple projectiles in bursts, traveling a good distance before disappearing - targets touched recoil slightly. These M1s don't make you dash, so your horizontal mobility stays stable, but in the air they freeze you vertically. They don't break Instinct in any way, hit multiple targets and even reach Sea Beasts. You can't aim up or down though.
cooldown 0.3s
Z Razor Cyclone
Mas. 1
Blades form on your arms, then you thrust toward your cursor slashing through a purple horizontal cyclone, very similar to Dual-Headed Blade's [Z]. A direct hit breaks Instinct, but the opponent can dodge on the edges. Excellent offensive movement move, if you aim right - it requires precision and has a slight startup lag.
cooldown 3.75s · energy 15 · breaks Instinct
X Blade Dance
Mas. 20
You spin with your blades creating a purple whirlwind of slashes around you - at the end of the animation, both players and NPCs are launched to medium height. Hold the key to extend the move. Large area of effect and long stagger, but the opponent can dodge the edges, the move is predictable and doesn't hit airborne enemies well.
cooldown 9s · energy 25 · breaks Instinct
C Saw Shredder
Mas. 50
Your blades spin like a saw, then you rush the target to slash them in a purple X with a slight stagger on contact. The first direct hit breaks Instinct - the X slash is dodged if you hit indirectly. It's your best damage move and a great combo starter or extension, but it's hard to land and only moves you if it hits someone.
cooldown 12s · energy 35 · breaks Instinct
F Turbine Flight
Mas. 80
Spinning blades on your raised right arm serve as a propeller for flight, and you can adjust direction mid-flight. Original detail - the lower your HP, the faster you fly, like Venom and Gas's untransformed [F]s, and climbing is faster than other directions. Handy for crossing the First Sea, faster than running, but slow in absolute terms - flight sometimes bugs out and cuts off after 25 seconds.
cooldown 4.5s · energy 35

Passives

Blade Reflex

You are immune to all sword attacks, Aura included, as long as your level is approximately 104% of the enemy's level. A mechanic comparable to Elemental fruit immunities.

Combos 12

Combos from the official wiki (the fruit combined with swords, guns, fighting styles and races), sorted by effectiveness. The effectiveness (score out of 10) is estimated from the current PvP meta: fruit level, strength of the items used and stated damage. Remember to break the opponent's Instinct before starting, otherwise the combo won't land.

Skins 2

Skins change the fruit's appearance (and its transformation): purely cosmetic, no effect on damage or defense. List from the official wiki.

SkinRarityHow to get
Blade Common Unlocked by default.
Lime Rare Chromatic Pulled from the Magnet Event's Summer 2026 Chromatic Box (33% per box, guaranteed on the 4th opening), sold for Robux in the Shop or obtained at 5% from the Magnet Gacha for 500 Magnet Tokens. The skin changes the entire color scheme of the fruit.

Strengths and weaknesses

  • Blade Reflex - total immunity to Sword attacks, Aura included, including fire, ice, electric or magic-infused swords
  • Direct counter to sword users in PvP, very effective against Portal, Ice or Buddha players
  • Ranged M1s with decent range - a serious alternative to Light or Ice in the First Sea
  • Unlike T-Rex, Gas, Kitsune or Dragon M1s, Blade's don't make you dash - your horizontal mobility stays stable
  • Large areas of effect and long staggers - useful in Raids, Sea Events and for handling groups
  • Most moves break Instinct and chain easily together, opening up lots of combos
  • Very cheap, low Mastery requirements (1, 20, 50 then 80) and high chance of being in stock
  • M1s hit multiple targets at once and even reach Sea Beasts
  • [Z] has good range, low cooldown and also serves as a movement move
  • [C] does high damage and is equally good for starting or extending a combo
  • [F] lets you fly, correct your direction mid-flight and goes faster than running in the First Sea
  • Spamming M1s in the air while moving makes you hover at a speed matched to your ground running speed
  • A real M1, rare among Common fruits: only Bomb has one too
  • Damage overall is weak, most of it falling on the last tick (the source contradicts itself, by the way - its intro mentions good damage, its drawback list says mediocre damage)
  • Only four offensive moves instead of the usual five, with limited range
  • Ice Trident and Light Spear get through despite the immunity
  • Rengoku, Saishi and Shark Anchor can still stagger you
  • Immunity doesn't work on Bosses or Raid Bosses
  • Can't aim up or down with M1s - aiming down makes you float and miss the target, aiming up is nearly impossible
  • An M1 launched in the air freezes you vertically
  • [Z] requires precise aiming and has a slight startup time
  • [X] is predictable, starts slow and doesn't hit airborne enemies well
  • [C] is hard to land and only moves you if it hits an enemy
  • [F] is very slow, and its flight sometimes bugs out lasting only 25 seconds
  • Falls off noticeably past the First Sea, where its damage and range aren't enough anymore
  • Many animations look bad in R15 or with layered clothing - the body distorts

Our verdict

PvE4/10
PvP6/10

Pick Blade if sword users are ruining your life in PvP - the counter is real, the price ridiculous and combos flow naturally. For farming, it's an excellent First Sea stopgap where most enemies attack with swords, but plan on an Elemental for later - beyond that, its damage and range can't keep up. One tip from the source for the First Sea - play fruit main rather than sword main, since all of Blade's appeal comes from its M1s and chains.
