True Triple Katana

SwordMythical

The True Triple Katana, or TTK, is the Mythical version of the Triple Katana - it's forged from three legendary swords Saishi, Shizu, and Oroshi. It's a benchmark for sword mains in PvP, with extremely high damage, moves that drain Instinct dodges at breakneck speed, and excellent combo potential, both on the ground and in the air. It also shines in farming with Buddha, though the dash of its fourth M1 interferes with AFK. Its synergy with the Portal fruit is renowned to be exceptional.

How to get it

Level 300 Mastery on Saishi, Shizu, and Oroshi, then buy it for 2 000 000 Beli from the Mysterious Man (Green Zone, Second Sea). You keep your three legendary swords after purchase, and you receive two titles on first equip: Demon Eye (Title #144) and The Hurricane (Title #145). Counting the three legendaries at 2 000 000 Beli each, the complete project costs 8 000 000 Beli.

KeyMovePreviewDescription
M1 Normal Attack Three classic slashes then a dash on the fourth hit. Attack speed is above average and damage per click is the third highest in the game, fighting styles included. Used in the air, this fourth hit propels you farther than the [Z], making it a true movement tool. The downside: this automatic dash makes AFK farming tedious.
Z Wolf Fang Rush
Mas. 150
You dash forward creating a large shockwave that stuns. If you grab your target, you slice them four times in a row, with a stun on each cut. It's the sword's combo launcher: good mobility, little endlag, short cooldown. However, it doesn't true-stun, it dodges at Instinct (the grab and the slashes), and it remains easy to avoid if you don't chain it after a stun. In a corner against a wall, it can make you pass through. Works in the same spirit as Rengoku's [Z] or Kitsune and Empyrean's [F]. Mastery required: 150.
cooldown 8s · energy 30
X Dragon Hurricane
Mas. 350
You summon a very fast dragon: the target hit is launched into the sky and a tornado rises, which in turn hits everyone who touched it, even if they weren't damaged by the dragon. It's the second largest hitbox of all swords, much bigger than the visual shows, and it passes through thin walls like those of the Mansion in Third Sea. Excellent for breaking an enemy combo and catching a target; if the opponent tries Instinct-trick, their dodges melt away, and once their Instinct is broken they get swept up anyway. The projectile breaks Instinct on direct impact, but the tornado that follows remains dodgeable. Not well-suited for farming, except as a finisher. Mastery required: 350.
cooldown 13s · energy 60

Leveling the three legendaries to 300 Mastery

This is the true difficulty of the TTK: 300 Mastery on each of the three swords. The methods the Fandom lists:

  • The 2x Mastery gamepass is strongly recommended.
  • Refund your stats as a sword main and play Awakened Buddha: you hit wider, so you level the three swords much faster.
  • Second Sea: server hop on the Awakened Ice Admiral or the Smoke Admiral, they're the ones who give the most Mastery in the sea. The raid boss Cursed Captain also works but gives less.
  • Third Sea: server hop on Longma, Cake Queen, Kilo Admiral, Hydra Leader, or Captain Elephant, depending on your level.
  • Two-for-one tip: group and kill all the Cocoa Warriors, then the Chocolate Bar Battlers, by taking both quests. You level Mastery and money at the same time.
  • Normal farming also eventually pays out, without doing anything special.
  • If you use an auto clicker, set it to around 750 ms: that leaves a delay between hits and keeps you from chaining into the fourth M1, the dashing one.

Gathering 8 000 000 Beli

Each legendary sword costs 2 000 000 Beli flat, no negotiation. The 2x Money gamepass is recommended for everything that follows.

Second Sea

MethodAnnounced gain
Server hop on Diamond, Jeremy, and Orbitusaround 75 000 Beli per server, 150 000 with 2x Money
Sea Beast100 000 to 200 000 Beli, preferably on private server
Boss Orderworthwhile if you have Fragments, avoid at low level
AFK farming enemies with Buddha or an Elemental fruitreserve for private server
Cursed Ship chest routearound 20 000 to 30 000 Beli per run

The Cursed Ship route, in order: the left room for 6 gold chests, just outside a silver chest, the kitchen for the diamond chest, then the right side of the ship for the last gold chest. Nine chests per run, then you switch servers and do it again.

Third Sea

MethodAnnounced gain
Sea Beast100 000 to 250 000 Beli without 2x Money
Rumbling Waters650 000 to 750 000 Beli, and 1 300 000 to 1 500 000 with 2x Money
Cake Prince in the other dimensionaround 50 000 Beli, and you only need to deal 10% of the damage (71 000); it's the least profitable method
Triple diamond chests of Haunted Castle8 000 to 10 000 Beli each, with a server hop after
Chests around Longmaaround 25 000 Beli per server, 50 000 with 2x Money

The Legendary Sword Dealer, the real bottleneck

The merchant only offers one of the three swords at random with each spawn. To see all three pass, the Fandom estimates you need to keep the server alive for at least 12 hours and 45 minutes, which pushes you to play on a private server. It's as much a matter of luck as patience.

Two helpful clarifications:

  • You can obtain the TTK without completing the Colosseum Quest, but without the Manager's help to locate the merchant, it becomes extremely tedious.
  • Going without the Manager can nonetheless be more efficient, because it sometimes bugs out. In exchange, you have to guess where the merchant is located, and the success rate is very low.

Instinct: what breaks and what dodges

MoveBreaks InstinctDodgeableDetail
[Z] Wolf Fang RushNoYesThe initial grab and the slashes both dodge at Instinct
[X] Dragon HurricaneYesYesThe projectile breaks Instinct on direct impact, but the tornado that follows remains dodgeable. The projectile, tornado, and pull can be dodged on the edges, and you can also dodge while being dragged

To remember: TTK moves only break Instinct on direct hit. An opponent playing Instinct-trick can counter it, but if they try it on the [X], their dodges melt away, and once their Instinct is broken they get swept up anyway.

What changed recently

Update 29.2 adjusted the [X] Dragon Hurricane in both directions: it travels 25% faster, but it now has endlag. Before that, Update 26 had nerfed the pull hitbox and removed the Instinct dodge consumption when exiting the move.

Good to know

  • The abbreviation TTK doesn't work well in Roblox chat depending on how you write it, because it also means "Time To Kill". Use True Trip or TT Katana instead.
  • The fourth M1 used in the air covers more distance than the [Z]: it's a movement tool in its own right.
  • The TTK has the third best M1 damage of any weapon in the game, fighting styles and swords combined.
  • The [Z] in a corner against a wall can make you pass through.
  • The hitbox of the [X] is noticeably larger than the visual suggests, and it passes through thin walls, like those of the Mansion in Third Sea.
  • It shares its idle animation with the Triple Katana and the Triple Dark Blade: three blades held at the same time, same stance.

Strengths and weaknesses

  • Extremely high damage, and the Grade 1 upgrade increases them significantly more than on other Mythical swords
  • Very good combo potential, equally effective on the ground and in the air in PvP
  • Very strong synergy with the Portal fruit
  • Excellent in raids thanks to large hitboxes and high damage per click
  • All moves except M1 hit Sea Beasts
  • M1 attack speed above average
  • [Z]: good mobility, solid stun, little endlag, short cooldown, excellent combo launcher
  • [X]: second largest hitbox of all swords, formidable for breaking enemy combos, and it drains Instinct dodges extremely fast
  • Very long and expensive to obtain: 8 000 000 Beli total, 300 Mastery on three swords, and a merchant who only sells one blade at random
  • Cannot hit Blade users
  • Moves only break Instinct on direct hit
  • [Z] easy to avoid without a prior stun, and it doesn't true-stun: it can be countered mid-animation if the opponent Instinct-tricks
  • [X] not well-suited for farming, except as a finisher, and it can also be Instinct-tricked
  • The dash of the fourth M1 interferes with AFK farming
  • As a support sword it does the job, but other swords are better for that role

Our take

PvE8/10
PvP9/10

One of the best swords in the game for a sword main: monstrous damage, combos everywhere, insane Portal synergy. The entry price (8M Beli and massive Mastery grind) is brutal, but the investment pays off handsomely if you play sword seriously.
