Blox Fruits

Mechanic

Blox Fruits are the mysterious fruits that grant supernatural powers to whoever eats them. They are the heart of the game, to the point of giving it its name. They are divided into three families (Natural, Elemental, Beast) and five rarities.

How to get it

The main ways are buying powers from the Blox Fruit Dealer, buying a random physical fruit at the Blox Fruit Gacha, buying a permanent fruit from the Dealer or in the shop, and collecting fruits that appear every hour on the map (every 45 minutes on weekends).

The five rarities

RarityAmountWhat it means
Common7The cheapest, those that appear most often
Uncommon6Affordable fruits
Rare4Mid-range
Legendary11Expensive fruits
Mythical13Very expensive, and the rarest to appear

The three families

FamilyFruitsWhat characterizes it
Natural27Varied powers superhero-style, the most comprehensive family
Elemental11Control of an element, often with immunity to physical attacks
Beast12Transformation into an animal or creature, very good for traveling

Note: the Fandom overview page still lists 41 fruits divided into 21 Natural, 11 Elemental and 9 Beast, a count it has not updated. The figures above come from each fruit's page, one by one.

Mutations

Mutations are modified versions of fruits, which change their appearance, their moveset and the way they play. There are three of them: Empyrean, Fiend and Werewolf. All are linked to an event and all are Beast type.

Unavailable fruits

Some fruits can no longer be obtained through normal means, sometimes because they were removed, most often because another fruit replaced them.

Key takeaways

  • A fruit dropped on the ground does not disappear, unlike those that appear under trees.
  • A fruit stored in inventory cannot be dropped.
  • Fruits bought with Robux are permanent and can be equipped whenever you want, from the Dealer or in the shop. Those bought with Beli are not.
  • Permanent fruits are exchanged like gamepasses: choose "Store in Inventory" in the Gift tab.
  • Mastery of a fruit is preserved even if you replace it.
  • The Remove Blox Fruit NPC allows you to remove your fruit, but it's not recommended.

Strengths and weaknesses

  • The heart of the game
  • Three families and five rarities for all styles
  • Permanent fruits are exchangeable
  • Fruits bought with Beli are not permanent
  • Some fruits are no longer obtainable
