Yeti

MythicalBeast

Yeti turns you into a giant snow beast: ice claws, brutal grabs, frozen explosions and projectiles in all directions. It's the fifth most expensive fruit in the game since Magnet (6,000,000 Beli) arrived in Update 30, tied in price with Tiger and Leopard, and one of the most sought-after in trading. Its true strength lies in its transformation: unlike other Beast fruits, it doesn't require any fury gauge, so you activate it whenever you want and as often as you want. Once transformed, you take 46.5% less damage, gain approximately 25% speed, approximately 25% less cooldown, and you walk on water leaving ice platforms behind you. This is what makes it an unmatched team support in Sea Events. The downside: very high Mastery requirements that make it nearly inaccessible to low levels.

How to get it

Yeti is bought for 5,000,000 Beli or 3,000 Robux from the Blox Fruit Dealer when it's in rotation (check the live block below), and it can also drop from the Dealer's gacha. It arrived with Update 25, during the Christmas event, which fits well with its icy theme. Update 26 nerfed it severely, then Update 29.2 gave it back some defense and gave it a mutation, Fiend.

KeyMovePreviewDescription
Z Arctic Clap
Mas. 1
You charge frozen energy in your hands, the screen shakes a bit, then you clap them together: a line of ice explodes outward and projects enemies far. In the air, the attack becomes a powerful cold wind blast. Cooldown 9 s, 20 energy. Near-instant startup and good range, perfect for pushing someone who's on you, but the range is short, vertical aim impossible and knockback too strong to chain afterward.
On groundYou pack snow into your hands and clap them together, causing an ice explosion in a straight line that knocks back enemies.
In the airIf you trigger it mid-jump, the attack becomes a powerful cold wind blast instead.
X Frostbite Boulder
Mas. 50
You form a huge snowball and send it toward your cursor at bullet speed, much faster than other spherical projectiles in the game. It explodes against the first surface, leaves snow trails, and creates an ice platform if it falls in water. Cooldown 12 s, 40 energy. Theoretically infinite range depending on your position (the projectile works like a catapult), good damage and slight stun, but the hitbox is average, there's charge time and aiming at a distant or flying enemy remains tricky. You can only hold it charged for 30 seconds.
C Glacial Execution
Mas. 100
You propel yourself toward your cursor, you blow icy air that freezes the target, then you pass behind it to project it with devastating force. Cooldown 15 s, 80 energy. Great damage, long stun and good distance covered, making it a backup Flash Step. But it's single-target, you're not invulnerable during the animation, end-lag is heavy and you can drown using it on an enemy in water: save it for dueling rather than farming. Aimed at water, it creates a small ice platform where you land (lasts about 8 seconds, the shortest of the fruit). Curiosity: only this untransformed version has Destructible Physics.
V Transformation
Mas. 300
You roar, ice spikes shoot from the ground to hurt and push nearby enemies, then you become an upright Yeti with red eyes, about as big as a transformed T-Rex. Cooldown 4.5 s, 20 energy. You gain water walking, 46.5% damage reduction, approximately 25% more speed, doubled jump and dash and approximately 25% less cooldown, but you lose access to fighting styles, swords and firearms. Also worth noting: the Flash Step bonus from Draco V2 doesn't apply while you're transformed.
F Tundra Rush
Mas. 200
A grab with two variants. On the ground, you rush, grab the enemy and crush it twice on the ground in explosions and ice spikes before ejecting it. In the air, you grab it, spin with it then throw it: a bit less damage, but much faster. Cooldown 9 s, 60 energy. Great damage, good mobility, solid stun, excellent for extending a combo, and well-placed it grabs even through a wall. The first two crushes hit multiple enemies. However the grab only targets one enemy, the aerial version leaves you very exposed and it doesn't break Instinct.
On groundYou rush, grab the enemy and slam it into the ground twice, creating explosions and ice spikes, before launching it away.
In the airYou rush, grab the enemy, spin with it then throw it. This version does slightly less damage but executes much faster.

Transformé

KeyMovePreviewDescription
M1 Normal Attack Two ice claw strikes, a stomp on the third, then a final roar that pushes the enemy. Cooldown 1 s. Great damage, short cooldown and moderate knockback: it's your move to spam, in PvE and PvP alike. It stuns slightly, cutting off some enemy combo starts, the hitbox of the third and fourth hits is wide, and all four hits touch Sea Beasts and the Leviathan. The dash between hits is weak, ideal for farming in a tight spot like Tiki Outpost. Against Rumbling Waters, you just spam M1 in the center to hit all three Sea Beasts at once, and against Piranhas coming from behind the area pushes them instantly. Downside: short range, no vertical aim, little mobility, and the final roar pushes hard.
Z Arctic Clap
Mas. 1
Giant version of the clap: the ice explosion in a line is wider and sows spikes on the ground toward your cursor, kind of like awakened Ice's X. Over water, it places ice blocks; in the air, it's an icy wind gust. Cooldown 6.75 s, 20 energy. Very large hitbox, even larger in the air, good range and good damage: an excellent tool to turn a situation around, and the platforms created serve the whole team. Still no vertical aim, and avoidable by positioning on the edge.
On groundTransformed version: you launch a larger ice explosion in a straight line that knocks back targets, with ice spikes on the ground pointing toward your cursor.
In the airIn the air, it creates a blast of cold wind instead.
X Frostbite Boulder
Mas. 50
You throw a massive snowball that bursts into several small ones on landing, adding damage. Cooldown 9 s, 40 energy. Over water, it creates a large ice block: a temporary platform for the team to fight Terrorsharks and Sea Beasts on dry ground, even without the Shark race, and enough to stop an enemy boat cold. It's the most durable platform of the fruit, approximately 58 seconds. Huge hitbox compared to the untransformed version, range still theoretically infinite, and slight stun on impact. It remains difficult to aim, knockback can be excessive if you hit wrong, and a stun move can cancel it mid-preparation.
C Glacial Execution
Mas. 100
You charge the enemy, freeze it, arm your fist then push it with a blast of devastating icy air, with much more projection than the untransformed version. Cooldown 11.25 s, 80 energy. Great damage, very long stun, good mobility (yet another backup Flash Step), it hits Sea Beasts and even becomes multi-target against Rumbling Waters, and it creates an ice platform on landing. Beware: difficult to land, single-target the rest of the time, huge end-lag, and very risky over water where you can get stuck under the surface during the grab (Shark players don't have this issue).
V Transformation
Mas. 300
You return to your normal form: fighting styles, swords and firearms become usable again, but you lose water walking and all transformation bonuses. Cooldown 3.4 s, 20 energy. In practice, the source page recommends staying transformed in all circumstances: more damage, less knockback and shorter cooldowns.
F Tundra Rush
Mas. 200
On the ground, you rush, grab the enemy, crush it twice on the ground then push it. In the air, you wrap it in ice, do a lateral somersault and dive to smash it to the ground before ejecting it. Cooldown 6.75 s, 60 energy. Long stun, good range, good damage, and formidable against altitude campers since you bring them to the ground at high speed. The crushes do area damage: enemies approaching your target take damage too. The grab remains single-target, difficult to land in the air, and an opponent can trap you at Instinct.
On groundYou rush, grab the enemy and slam it into the ground twice before launching it back.
In the airYou rush, wrap your target in ice, do a lateral flip then fall to the ground to smash it before launching it away.

Passives

Cryogenic Beast

You can transform into a giant Yeti: your moveset changes (claws as M1, enhanced moves) and you gain several additional perks while transformed.

Frost Walker

Like Ice, you create walkable ice platforms on every water contact, only while transformed. Each platform costs 4 energy, only when walking on water.

Frozen Afterimage

While transformed, your Flash Step leaves an ice clone behind that explodes on enemy contact or after 3 seconds, dealing moderate damage.

Combos 26

Combos from the official wiki (the fruit combined with swords, guns, fighting styles and races), sorted by effectiveness. The effectiveness (score out of 10) is estimated from the current PvP meta: fruit level, strength of the items used and stated damage. Remember to break the opponent's Instinct before starting, otherwise the combo won't land.

Strengths and weaknesses

  • Transformation without fury gauge, unlike other Beast fruits: you activate it whenever you want
  • Transformed: 46.5% less damage taken, approximately 25% more speed, cooldowns reduced by approximately 25%
  • All its moves break Instinct, with long stuns and great combo potential
  • Walks on water and traversable ice platforms: rare support for Sea Events and group maritime exploration
  • Your teammates can walk on the ice you leave under your feet: you can get an entire group across the ocean without a boat
  • Short cooldowns and very chainable moves once transformed: excellent in PvP and farming
  • All four transformed M1s hit Sea Beasts and the Leviathan
  • Good mobility: [C] serves as an extra Flash Step and [F] grabs even through a wall
  • Good against Buddha, which knockback distances and deprives of its M1s, and against Dragon hybrids or untransformed
  • Fifth rarest fruit in the game, behind Magnet, Kitsune, Control and Dragon: very strong trading value
  • Transformed, you lose fighting styles, swords and firearms, and your hitbox grows
  • Very high Mastery requirements: difficult to use until you're leveled up
  • Fairly weak damage for a Beast fruit, and lots of knockback that breaks your own combos
  • All its moves remain avoidable at Instinct
  • [C] Glacial Execution is single-target, leaves you vulnerable during animation, has huge end-lag and can drown you over water
  • [Z] Arctic Clap has short range and no vertical aim
  • Walking on water is unreliable: ejected from your platforms or Flash Stepping into water, you end up swimming
  • Untransformed, the fruit is much less comfortable for farming
  • No awakening, and a prohibitive price: 5,000,000 Beli or 3,000 Robux

Our verdict

PvE5/10
PvP6/10

Transform and don't leave: the source page is categorical, Yeti form is better in all situations (more damage, less knockback, shorter cooldowns). Pick it if you like melee and Sea Events, where its ice platforms are life-changing for the whole team, and if you plan to play around water in PvP: your opponent must manage drowning and your hits at the same time. For pure farming, its strongest moves remain single-target, so a large-area fruit stays more comfortable. And keep in mind it was severely nerfed at Update 26: it's no longer the PvP monster it was.
