The Flintlock is the entry-level gun for gun mains in the First Sea: inexpensive, minimal Mastery (15/80), and a [Z] that breaks Instinct on direct shot. Significantly better than the Musket or Refined Slingshot at the same stage, it remains a beginner weapon to replace as soon as possible.

How to get it

Purchased for 10,500 Beli from the Weapon Dealer in Middle Town, First Sea. Accessible from the very first levels.

M1 Normal Attack You fire a simple orange bullet. Basic, but the damage per shot is decent for the First Sea.
Z Concentrated Shot

 You fire a concentrated bullet: the hit target is briefly stunned and a few secondary bullets burst around it for bonus damage. Breaks Instinct on direct shot: a true combo starter.
X Marksman Fury
Mas. 80
 You fire three bullets that explode on contact or at the cursor's location. Handy for finishing a fleeing enemy or extending a combo, even if each bullet hits weaker than an M1.

  • Requires good aim: the [Z] bullet has a tiny hitbox, hard to land outside a combo
  • Quickly outclassed: nothing remarkable for the long term
  • Rubber users are immune to its shots
  • The [X] homing weakens with distance

The best value-for-money starter gun in the First Sea, nothing more. Grab it to start and farm comfortably, then upgrade to a better weapon as soon as you can.

    • The source rewrote the pros and cons: very long range on the basic shot, tiny [Z] hitbox outside a combo, [X] homing that weakens with distance. Also fixed here: Rubber users are immune to the Flintlock, not the other way round.
