Hallow Scythe

SwordMythical

The Hallow Scythe is the mythic scythe dropped by the Soul Reaper. It focuses on high damage and strong combo potential, with a unique mechanic: boosted damage (x1.2) when the target drops below 50% HP, making it a very good PvP option. Its fast M1s without dash also make it enjoyable for farming, even with Buddha.

How to get it

Drop from the Soul Reaper, the boss of the Haunted Castle (Third Sea), with a 5% chance per kill. Not purchasable - you must farm the boss, and obtaining it is known to be tedious, since the Hallow Essence tied to the boss is itself rare to obtain.

Strengths and weaknesses

  • Boosted x1.2 damage on targets below 50% HP
  • Fast M1s without dash - solid for farming, even with Buddha
  • [X] breaks Instinct and the kit drains up to 4 Instinct dodges
  • Short cooldowns, good mobility, almost no cast time
  • Strong combo potential once mastered
  • Both moves hit Sea Beasts
  • Long grind to obtain - 5% drop and Hallow Essence is rare
  • Weakest M1s among mythic swords - average for Buddha if you have better
  • Demanding mastery requirement (350 for the [X])
  • True learning curve, requires practice
  • Does not hit Blade users

Our take

PvE7/10
PvP8/10

An excellent PvP sword thanks to its damage bonus below 50% HP and its [X] that breaks Instinct, provided you accept its learning curve. For farming, its fast M1s work well enough, but other mythics hit harder with Buddha.
