The Katana is the 
Common beginner sword - often the first blade purchased (alongside the 
Cutlass), for only 1,000 Beli. Its two moves have AoE and help new players without a 
Blox Fruit, but it remains slow, mediocre, and becomes nearly obsolete past the first 200 levels.
How to get it
On sale for 1,000 Beli from the 
Sword Dealer (
First Sea). It's one of the earliest possible purchases in the game.

Strengths and weaknesses
- Minimal price (1,000 Beli) and nearly zero
Mastery requirement ([X] at 20) - Very good beginner option, especially without a Blox Fruit
- Both moves have AoE
- Attacks quickly and deals decent damage for early game
- Very low damage and cooldowns too long for such a weak weapon
- Short range and slowness - easy to dodge
