Pole (1st Form) is a special case -
Legendary on paper, it's outclassed by almost all swords of its rarity, performs worse than most
Rare swords and at best compares to
Uncommon. Its long model offers some extra reach on M1 and its stuns help early in combos, but that's about it.
How to get it
Drops from
Lightning God, the boss of
Upper Skylands (
First Sea), with 6% chance per kill. It replaced the
Thunder God in Update 30 with the same drops; the source updated its infobox on 28 September 2026, but its Obtainment section still names the old boss. It's mainly the essential ingredient for
Pole (2nd Form), which you obtain by holding this first form under lightning in
Rough Sea - keep it carefully.

| X | Lightning Rain Mas. 180 |
You swing the pole to create a small cloud at your cursor's location - it strikes the area below with three lightning bolts dealing decent damage. cooldown 10.5s · energy 25 |
Strengths and weaknesses
- Decent damage and low
Mastery requirements - Long model - allows you to hit from further away on M1
- Decent stuns, usable early in combos
- Essential for obtaining Pole (2nd Form)
- Outclassed by almost all Legendary swords and even most Rare swords
- Slow M1, long cast delay, moves very easy to dodge
- Small AoE and mediocre stuns that you can escape from easily
- Weak in PvP, useless under a low ceiling (like
Lightning's [X])
Our take
Don't farm it to use it - apart from its reach, it offers nothing that a good Rare sword doesn't do better. Get it mainly to transform it later into Pole (2nd Form) - that's its real reason for existing.
