Raids are special events in the Second and
Third Sea. They're THE way to unlock awakened moves for your
Blox Fruits and farm
Fragments - five islands full of enemies to clear, a
Raid Boss at the end, and an awakening room if you finish with the right fruit equipped.
How to get it
Basic Raid - buy a
Microchip from the
Mysterious Scientist (100,000 Beli or any physical fruit, even
Rocket) then press the raid zone button. Advanced Raid (
Phoenix and
Dough only) - Advanced Raid Microchip for 1,000 Fragments or a physical fruit worth over 1,000,000 Beli. Level 700+ to join a raid, 1,100+ to host one.
How it Works
Each raid chains through five islands filled with
NPCs, each harder than the last. You must kill all enemies on an island to spawn the next one, and the fifth island awaits you with a Raid Boss.
- Maximum 4 players per raid. To enter, stand in the dark blue tubes at
Hot and Cold (
Second Sea) or on the yellow platforms at
Castle on the Sea (Third Sea). - Finishing the raid with the matching fruit equipped teleports you to
The Church of Prophecy, where the
Mysterious Entity lets you awaken a move of your fruit for Fragments. With a different fruit equipped, you're simply sent back to your
Home Point. - If your fruit is already fully awakened, you're still teleported to The Church of Prophecy, but there's nothing left to awaken.
Awakening a move without having the required
Mastery unlocks it, but you won't be able to use it until you reach that Mastery.
Where Are the Lobbies
- Second Sea - the lobby is hidden in a tower on the Cold side of Hot and Cold. Enter the code Red, Blue, Green, Blue on the central computer, with empty hands (the colors won't change if you're holding something) - a secret door opens on the left side of the interior wall.
- Third Sea - the lobby is in the main building of Castle on the Sea.
- The Awakening Room is located beneath
Kingdom of Rose in the Second Sea and beneath
Floating Turtle in the Third Sea. Its official name is The Church of Prophecy.
Raid Enemies
NPCs vary by island, and most (including the boss) use OLD versions of the fruits:
| Enemy | HP | Islands | Combat Style |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7,200 | 1 | ||
| roughly 7,700 (2 Tanky at 19,250 HP on island 2) | 1 to 3 | Old | |
| 7,400 (2 Tanky at 18,500 HP on island 1) | 1 to 3 | ||
| 8,300 (2 Tanky at roughly 30,000 HP on island 3) | 2 to 4 | Old Electric (X and C), watch out for stun | |
| Fruit User | 13,500 (2 Tanky at 33,750 HP on islands 4 and 5) | 3 to 5 | non-awakened fruit of the raid's theme |
| Raid Boss | 155,500 | 5 | awakened fruit of the raid's theme |
Quick tip - in
Buddha transformation, Shockers are just a stun; your healing outpaces their damage.
Each theme has its Master on island 5 - Flame Master, Ice Master, Quake Master, Light Master,
Dark Master (called Darkness Master in
Dark raids), Spider Master, Magma Master, Rumble Master, Buddha Master, Sand Master, Phoenix Master, and Dough Master.
Rewards - Fragments
| Situation | Fragments Earned |
|---|---|
| Victory | 300 + 4.5 per second remaining, capped at 1,000 |
| Victory at timer's edge (1 second remaining) | 455, the minimum without failing |
| Raid failure | 300 |
| Time ran out | 90 per island cleared (90 also if you AFK on island 1 until the end) |
| Death during raid | 0, regardless of which island you reached |
Example - finishing with 4:30 remaining gives 300 + 4.5 x 270 = 1,515... capped at 1,000.
- Awakening ALL fruits in the game costs 167,800 Fragments total (not counting Dough/Phoenix chip costs). Most complete awakenings run 14,500 Fragments per fruit.
- 11 Blox Fruits are awakeable - 7
Elemental, 2
Beast, and 2
Natural.
Spider,
Quake, Buddha, and Phoenix are the only non-Elemental awakeables. - Also included are titles - Broken Heart (#098), The Conqueror (#099), Last Hope (#100), The Supersonic (#101), The Flash (#102), and 17 others, one per awakened fruit.
Tips and Strategies
- Carry fruits - Buddha, Gas,
T-Rex,
Dragon, and
Kitsune (their extended range acts as constant AoE).
Yeti works in a pinch but carries less easily. A Phoenix on the team is highly appreciated for its ultra-fast heals and AoE, especially in tough raids.
Eagle can substitute for Buddha but becomes unreliable on later islands. - Advanced Raids - 1 to 2 awakened Buddhas are nearly essential, unless highly skilled players are carrying you.
Angel V4 - the King's Rule effect stuns ALL NPCs indefinitely, Raid Boss included, as long as you stay in direct proximity (watch out for knockback from an NPC outside your aura that ejects you). Activate it before the last island - it's a real alternative to Buddha. Any well-played Race Awakening works.- Solo possible -
Sanguine Art with its heal + Angel V4 allow you to solo a raid on auto-click. - The more people you have, the easier it is. Group enemies and chain AoE combos.
- Dash continuously around enemies - many of their moves miss. Sky-camping works too, but
Air Jumps are limited - gain height with a teleport/flight move (
Lightning F,
Light F, Dark F...). - If you're low on HP, back off and heal - dying for one more hit is the classic trap. And there's no point pushing NPCs into the water, they're instantly teleported back.
- Damage accessories for normal raids; for tough raids, prefer defense or HP.
- A non-awakened Buddha transformed heals off Phoenix's regeneration flames; an awakened Buddha does not.
- Dough Raids - the most annoying (NPCs spam Dough's V - stun plus massive HP loss). Bring ranged (Dough for example) and melee (ideally an awakened Buddha).
- Control Combo - [V] Total Concentration to burst the first 4 islands, then in fist mode (max charged version) stack cubes, overload, and launch everything at the boss - roughly 1/3 of its HP (it lags, look away during impact).
- Too low level? You can join as soon as you have access to the Second Sea if someone carries - stay away from the boss, hide on island 1 or the boat. Heads up, a dead player CANNOT rejoin the raid.
- On public servers, build a group of 4 - one who pays, at least two who carry (avoid the payer carrying too, unless they're high level). Otherwise, aim for Lv. 1100 and host your own raids - high-level players mostly want to awaken THEIR fruits.
- You can switch permanent fruits MID-raid - do the heavy lifting with Buddha and finish with the fruit to awaken.
- If you have the
Summon Sea Beast item, use it in raids - it helps a lot charging your Race Awakening bar.
Did You Know?
- A glitch allows 8 players - 4 players with the
Love fruit use their F move on a player to lift them onto the flamingo before entering the capsule. The 4 passengers can't deal damage, only stun. Variant with Kitsune (7 players, the host must be untransformed to launch the raid). - Phoenix raid is the only one to include
Sea Beasts. - Ambient music - Global Danger (islands 1 to 4, Hermann Langschwert) and Restless Enemy (island 5, Ronald Joseph Paquette).
- Since Rumble raids were removed, the Rumble Master only appears in
Trial of Strength. - On island 5 of an Ice raid stands the
Wenlocktoad Over Heaven statue, and the pyramid on island 5 of a Light raid hides a Poneglyph.
Portal's C move has a "Raid" teleport button - it takes you to the raid room lab, not directly to the room.
Titles bug - The Flash and The Supersonic can drop at 3:30 REMAINING instead of 3:30 elapsed.- If the blue tube (or yellow platform) doesn't light up green while you're on it, you won't join the raid (bug). Another glitch - getting stuck on the starting island instead of being teleported; if a teammate solos the raid, you still get the rewards.
- After a raid, leaving The Church of Prophecy via
Flash Step permanently disables your PvP until death, and the home teleport button stays locked (the game still considers you in a raid). - It's possible to return to the mainland before the raid ends, but without
Instinct or all your Air Jumps until the end; you'll then be teleported to your Home Point. Very rarely, the game loses your spawn point and teleports you anywhere, often out at sea (
Danger Level 6). - Extreme timing - a transformed Buddha using the awakened V Twilight Of The Gods in Third Sea with
Portals unlocked can teleport to the
Mansion (requires high ping, unconfirmed). - Phoenix Master does have arms on his model, but a bug replaces them with awakened wings once he attacks. When the arms display, the fight is harder, as originally intended.
- Buddha Master wears a dark teal-toned robe (like
Tide Keeper), visible for a few milliseconds when untransformed. And Buddha Users walk oddly - they share their model with a normal-sized enemy. - Darkness Master in Dark raids isn't called Dark Master probably because a
Skylands enemy already has that name. - Many visual effects don't display for other players in raids - a
Control user's domain and cubes are invisible to the team, who just see enemies die "on their own." Hence unjustified hacking accusations. - If you zoom in on your avatar in a raid, it shakes slightly - a consequence of precision loss from continent distance.
- Economy tip - pay the Mysterious Scientist with a common or uncommon fruit; the chip can be bought with any physical fruit.
