Sharkman Karate

Fighting Style

Sharkman Karate is the enhanced version of Water Kung Fu and one of the most reliable styles in the game: moves that break Instinct, short cooldowns, fast casting, and very long range on [X] Pressure Vortex. Its moveset improves further with the Sharkman Master (shark, controllable bubble, 35% shield). It is also one of the five styles required for Godhuman.

How to get it

From the Sharkman Teacher at Forgotten Island (Second/Third Sea). Requirements: give him a Water Key, have Mastery 400+ on Water Kung Fu, then pay 2,500,000 Beli and 5,000 Fragments. Unlocks the Sharkman title. At 400+ Mastery, Sharkman Karate counts toward Godhuman; at 500+, upgrades unlock with the Sharkman Master.

Moveset

KeyMovePreviewDescription
M1 Water Combo A hook, a back kick, a forward slide, then a double fist pound to the ground. Poor M1s: unreliable hitboxes, dash on third hit, and a fourth that doesn't connect in Buddha transformation.
Z Twelve Water Palms
Mas. 100
You summon six water silhouettes and charge forward: if you hit, the target takes a barrage of palm strikes from the six clones and yourself. When upgraded, the silhouettes condense into a shark launched at the enemy, sweeping them after the burst.
X Pressure Vortex
Mas. 200
You shoot a water shark that traps the hit enemy in a bubble for about 1 second before it explodes, blurring their screen. When upgraded and held, you move the bubble with your cursor and it lasts longer. Very long range.
C Great Sea Spear
Mas. 300
You launch a water vortex that returns to you while pulling the enemy in: they take a burst of water strikes capped by a double palm. When upgraded, the move also grants you a temporary shield (+35% defense) if you hit.

Upgrades (Sharkman Master)

At 500+ Mastery, train with the Sharkman Master (8 stages of Fish Fights), then buy the upgrades: - [Z]: Headband (Yellow) + 2,000 Fragments - water silhouettes condense into a shark that sweeps the target. - [X]: Headband (Blue) + 3,000 Fragments - you control the bubble position, which lasts longer. - [C]: Headband (Black) + 5,000 Fragments - a temporary shield grants +35% defense if the move hits. Total: 10,000 Fragments to upgrade everything.

Strengths and weaknesses

  • Breaks Instinct with solid stuns
  • Short cooldowns and fast casting
  • [X] has very long range and blurs the enemy's screen
  • Works with many builds, high damage
  • Strong upgrades: shark, controllable bubble, +35% defense shield
  • Can catch multiple targets at once
  • Poor M1s: bad hitboxes, dash on third hit, fourth unusable in Buddha transformation
  • Severe lack of mobility
  • Hard to hit mobile and distant targets: requires prediction
  • Punishable endlag, can bug with high ping

Our take

PvE7/10
PvP8/10

Get it as soon as Water Kung Fu reaches 400: it's a mid-game PvP pillar, required for Godhuman, and its upgrades keep it relevant long-term. For pure farming, Water Kung Fu remains surprisingly competitive.
