Elemental is one of three Blox Fruits classifications, alongside Natural and Beast. These fruits let you manipulate an element: Fire, Ice, Light, Magma, and other forces of nature. The game has 11 of them, and their signature is Elemental Reflex - the immunity that makes weak enemy attacks pass right through you.

How to get it

Nothing to unlock: the classification depends on the fruit you eat. Equip one of the 11 Elemental fruits to take advantage of Elemental Reflex.

How Elemental Reflex Works

All Elemental fruit users have a passive called Elemental Reflex, a conditional immunity:

  • NPCs below a certain level cannot harm you. The threshold varies by enemy and is fixed for each NPC: for most, you just need to match their level, but starting with Dark Master (Lv. 175) you need to exceed theirs. The threshold is calibrated roughly 2% above, hence gaps that grow across seas.
  • An enemy (NPC or player) with Aura activated always touches you, no matter your level.
  • Bosses completely ignore Elemental Reflex and hit you in all circumstances.

One small detail that changes everything for AFK: sword-wielding NPCs without Aura deal you no damage, but they can still knock you back (knockback). Impossible to farm them in total AFK.

Where Immunity Shines (and Where It Stops)

Elemental fruits are excellent for farming in First Sea and stay very strong in Second Sea: immunity plus area attacks, the perfect combo. Popular farming choices are Light, Magma, Flame, and Ice for their high damage and simple movesets.

In Third Sea, things get worse: most NPCs use Aura and immunity thresholds climb significantly, which greatly reduces the passive's value. From Baking Staff (Lv. 2250) onward, ALL remaining enemies use Aura: immunity no longer applies at all.

In the tables below, "Level Required" = your minimum level so the NPC can no longer harm you. "None" = the NPC uses Aura, no immunity possible. For certain Aura-using enemies, the listed threshold only applies with Blade sword equipped: Blade is immune to swords and is unaffected by Aura.

  • Smoke is the only Common rarity Elemental fruit.
  • Smoke, Blizzard, Lightning, and Gas are the only Elemental fruits without Awakening - though Lightning lost its (it had an Awakening, since removed, and an old unawakened moveset).
  • Elemental is the second-largest Blox Fruits category, behind Natural and ahead of Beast. It's also the category with the most Awakenable fruits, and Uncommon is the rarity with the most.
  • Lightning is the only fully reworked Elemental fruit, and the only one upgradeable via the Admin Panel.
  • Dough is the only fruit based on a man-made substance rather than natural. It's also the most expensive Elemental Awakening: 18,500 Fragments total.
  • Gas is the only Elemental with a Transformation, and it's the most recent (and currently most expensive) Elemental fruit.
  • Magma has the most passive abilities of all Elemental fruits.
  • Fruits capable of dealing infinite damage are mainly Elemental: Smoke, Lightning, and Blizzard.
