Island Secrets are the major new feature of Update 30. The
First Sea contains 40 of them, spread across its redesigned islands: small puzzles, quests that appear randomly, or battles against awakened versions of bosses. Completing them unlocks teleporters and grants secret levels, the only way past the 2800 cap, all the way to 3000. The starting point is the Rumor dialogue option from quest givers: each rumor is a clue to that island's secret.
How to get it
Secrets are available to everyone in First Sea since September 5, 2026. There is no announced level prerequisite: they are discovered by exploring islands.
The world map unlocks as soon as you complete your first secret, and it serves as your dashboard afterward.
What is a secret
The official notes describe three forms:
| Form | Meaning |
|---|---|
| A small puzzle to solve on the island | |
| Surprise quest | A quest that appears randomly, not permanently |
| A battle against the secret awakened version of a First Sea boss |
All First Sea bosses received this secret awakened mode with the redesign.
Awakened bosses appear every hour, and each one needs a small minigame. It is not a shortcut: you cannot deal any damage to the boss until its minigame is done. So you have to: breaking five geysers, lighting ice blocks, shaking a banana tree, joining wires, filling a cauldron. They never simply spawn on their own.
You have about 5 minutes to clear the minigame that wakes the boss. Past that, it is a miss for that hour. They are enhanced versions of the usual sea bosses. The
Secret Master, at
Middle Town, is there to tell you which one will awaken next: it's the way to avoid going in circles.
The teleporter rule. Completing all 3 secrets on an island (Middle Town excluded) unlocks that island as a teleporter destination, and the island gets a yellow glow on the map; the teleporter itself sits inside the central building of Middle Town. Since the September 7 fix, unlocking really works island by island.
No set order between the secrets. Do the ones you can, when you can: being stuck on one does not stop you from finishing the others, and nothing breaks if you skip a step.
There is an order to respect for awakened bosses: they only unlock once you have 3 stars on one island, meaning its three secrets are done. So clear a whole island before going after them. Details and the history of this requirement are on the Awakened Bosses entry.
Two things to know before you start searching
These are the two discoveries that save the most time, and neither is written in the official notes.
1. Rumors are the clues. Every island's quest giver now has a "Rumor" dialogue option. What they tell you is the clue to that island's secret. It's the intended starting point: instead of searching randomly, go talk to the quest giver and listen to their rumor. On the
Jungle for example, they complain that a monkey stole their hat and hid it in a tree.
2. Some secrets are locked to the hour. They only trigger at the hour change (at XX:00 sharp), and you must be on the island at that moment. This is what makes people think it's a bug: the quest seems dead for hours, then starts on its own. If a secret refuses to start when you're doing everything right, it's not necessarily broken - wait for the next hour change on the island.
Some secrets can only be completed by one player per spawn. On a busy server, if somebody beat you to it, you can do everything and still get no credit. A private server solves that.
What you get from it
- Rewards for each completed secret, including money on some quests: up to 100,000 Beli (source clarification of 22 September 2026).
- Secret levels: 5 levels per secret, no more, no less. Across the 40 announced secrets that would be the 200 levels between 2800 and 3000; with the 39 documented secrets, you get 195, that is level 2995.
- The 2-level bug: an NPC sometimes hands over 2 levels instead of 5. Talk to it again a few times and it ends up giving the rest.
- Do not leave the game before you have your 5 levels. If you do, the NPC will not hand them over again.
- Missing levels can be made up by killing
Raid Bosses, fishing, running quests or certain
Sea Events. And among the secrets, only one is repeatable: "Unexpected Guest", the
Skylands cloud. - Teleporters: completing an island's secrets opens a teleport point there. The more you unlock, the faster you move around the First Sea.
The awakened boss gacha. We now know how it works, and it costs nothing.
You do not pay your way in. You need to deal at least 10% of the boss’s maximum health. When it dies, a spin wheel appears on screen and lands on your prize. What can come out:
| Prize | What it does | |
|---|---|---|
| no described effect | ||
| a random fruit, excluding Common | ||
| Fruit Box (blue) | Uncommon | a random fruit, excluding Common |
| Uncommon | no described effect | |
| Fruit Box | a random fruit, excluding Common and Uncommon | |
| no described effect | ||
| the rarest prize in the gacha, +8% EXP | ||
| Mythical | no described effect | |
| 2x EXP for 15 min | applied straight away, on the roll | |
| 10,000 Beli | Premium | |
| 20,000 Beli | Premium | |
| 50,000 Beli | Premium |
The table is now published in full, and the "secret item nobody has pulled yet" mentioned early on does not appear in it: there is no unknown prize left.
Killing an awakened boss also grants secret levels and a star.
Three things worth knowing:
- 2x EXP boosts stack: win several and the durations add up.
- This gacha shares its cooldown with nothing, neither the
Blox Fruit Gacha nor the
Magnet Gacha. You can chain it with them. - Failing the pre-fight minigame does not cost you the roll: as long as you deal your 10% afterwards, you qualify. Another player can therefore open the fight for you.
There is nowhere to go to spin this gacha: the wheel appears right on your screen when the boss dies. The full details are on the Awakened Bosses page.
The level cap
Secret levels only show up once you reach level 2800: before that you will not see them, even after finishing secrets. Classic farming stops there, and the 200 levels above only come from secrets, 5 per secret. The stat point cap rises along with it, which changes end game builds.
The maths works out: the 39 secrets sitting on the islands, three per island across thirteen islands, make 195 levels, and the 40th, The Finale, hands over the last five. It is done at the Middle Town teleporter once every other secret is finished, and the full walkthrough is in the Middle Town section below.
Two fixes matter. The 7 September 2026 one: secrets do grant 5 levels, and if you received fewer, your cap still rose by 5, so EXP earned elsewhere brings you back up. The 10 September 2026 one: the technical cap goes from 2995 to 3000 and stuck players see "Secret Levels Available!". That fix granted no level by itself, it opened the wall so The Finale could grant its own.
Stuck at 2995? Either The Finale is missing, and no amount of EXP will help. Or a secret granted you fewer than 5 levels and your cap is higher than your level, in which case the levels come in while farming. To tell them apart, type 9999 into a category of the
Stats menu: the number of points accepted plus 1 is your cap.
The world map
Update 30 adds a world map to the in-game interface. It serves two purposes:
- navigate between islands;
- track your progress on secrets, island by island.
It remains locked until you complete your first secret: the first secret is the trigger.
The Secret Master
A dedicated NPC, the Secret Master, settles in the central building of Middle Town. They inform you about side quests and tell you which will be the next boss to appear in First Sea. The official notes specify that they guard a particular secret themselves.
Where to find them exactly: in the central building of Middle Town, on the first floor balcony. Another description places them in the manor where
The Saw appears: enter, then jump up high.
What they offer depends on your progress.
- "Which boss stirs next?": available, the option naming the next boss to awaken.
- "You know a helpful secret about Middle Town": only shows up while you have not finished Middle Town's Early Access secret. It is a hint, so use it before you clear that one.
- "Tell me some stories": reserved for players who have completed EVERY secret on EVERY island, that is 39 stars.
This morning I published that you needed 3 stars on one island and level 2800 to ask about the bosses. The source has since removed both conditions: they do not hold.
And even then, the clock matters. They only name the next boss at the end of the hour. The source's Secrets Master and Awakened Bosses pages have said the final half hour (9:30 to 10:00 p.m. for the 10 p.m. boss) without interruption since 26 September 2026. The Island Secrets page changed seven times between 25 and 29 September: four different contributors wrote thirty minutes, one of whom reports testing it several times, and the same editor brought it back to ten three times. On 3 October 2026 it settled it differently for a day: thirty minutes on public servers, the final ten minutes on private servers. On 4 October a contributor who reports testing it several times removed the distinction: the final half hour, on public and private servers alike. The source's three pages now say the same thing. Come too early and they reply "Nothing is stirring right now. Even the monsters need a rest." That is not a bug, you are simply early: try from the half hour, and come back at ten to if they have nothing to say.
Picking your boss. On a private server, leave and rejoin until they name the one you want: it is the surest way to target a specific awakened boss.
When to consult them: during the final half hour of every hour, on public and private servers alike (the Island Secrets page singled out the final ten minutes on private servers on 3 October 2026, then dropped it the next day, see above). That is when they name the boss awakening at the start of the next hour. Outside that window they have nothing for you.
What they're really for: they tell you where and when awakened bosses appear. Since each First Sea boss now has a secret awakened mode, they become a mandatory stop if you want to hunt them without going in circles.
An unexplained oddity. If you use the Middle Town teleporter to visit the islands they tell stories about, the "Tell me some stories" option disappears across all servers and the Middle Town fountain stops flowing for a while. The source suggests this might relate to
Advanced Combat, without claiming anything. For now it is a lead, not a fact - but it is exactly the kind of oddity a secret tends to hide behind.
The 16 islands involved
The redesign affects all of First Sea. Secrets are distributed across these islands:
Main islands
Pirate Starter Island
Marine Starter Island- Jungle
Pirate Village
Desert
Frozen Village
Marine Fortress- Skylands
Prison
Colosseum
Magma Village
Underwater City
Upper Skylands
Fountain City

Secrets in detail, island by island
Here's what is solved so far. The page will grow as more discoveries are made: much of the sea is still being explored.
Jungle
The grappling hook. The steps are now precisely known:
1. The grappling hook is on the ground, near a tree, on the boss island (the small one, the
Gorilla King's). It's the tree closest to the other island.
- Pick it up, then climb onto the platform on one side of that tree and position yourself at the edge.
- Hold the hook out and aim at the corresponding grapple point on the other island: hold to aim, release to throw, like fishing (the source's Island Secrets page since 28 September 2026). The point lights up green when you can hook onto it.
The hat thief. The Adventurer, in the middle of the lake, tells in a rumor that a monkey stole their hat and hid it in a tree. It's a secret in its own right, distinct from the grapple hook. The steps are now known:
- The tree is near the Misc. Character, in the direction of the Skylands. After a while, footprints appear at the foot of the right tree, and your character says: "These footprints look suspicious... I wonder where they lead to?" That is your marker.
- Shake the tree with an M1.
The source first wrote that fighting style M1s were required, then corrected it to "any M1". We keep the corrected version. 3. A monkey falls out of the tree. Defeat it. 4. The hat drops at the base of the tree. Pick it up. 5. Bring it back to the
Adventurer to complete the secret.
The
Awakened Gorilla King. A third secret, with its steps:
- Every hour, the Gorilla King has a chance to wake up. Chat announces it: "The jungle is suddenly overflowing with bananas..."
- Find the big tree nearest to the Gorilla King and shake it: bananas drop.
- Once enough have dropped, the boss sequence starts.
- Beat the boss, then claim from the Adventurer.
Don't look for green buttons or the secret room under the quest giver. Two big guide sites present them as Update 30 novelties: that's false, it's the old
Saber puzzle, documented publicly since March 2025.
Pirate Village
The windmill ("Free the Windmill"). It sits towards the middle of the island. Cut the 5 ropes holding the blades with any sword: 3 on top, 2 on the bottom side. Then talk to the
Pirate Adventurer to claim the reward.
You need
Air Jump, the extra mid-air jump: it costs 10,000 Beli from the
Ability Teacher (Frozen Village or Magma Village). Without it you cannot reach the upper ropes, and the secret cannot be finished.
The tavern. The message "Trouble has broken out at the tavern!" appears in chat: that is your cue. Breach the tavern door. Near the plaza, a saloon door starts to shake. Enter: a cutscene plays, then 3 level 45 Tavern Pirates attack you from the back of the room. Each has his own weapon (fists,
Cutlass,
Flintlock) and only uses its M1: at this point in the game, a formality. Defeat them, then talk to the bartender (the Tavern Owner): he hands you a potion, a random one according to the source since 28 September 2026 (it said "
Aggro Elixir" from 26 to 28 September, and "weird brew" before). Then claim the secret's reward from the Pirate Adventurer.
Chef spawns above the buildingReward found on this island: the bartender's potion, 500
Magnet Tokens, and a star on the world map.
The Awakened Chef. The trigger is getting clearer, without being complete:
- Every hour, the Chef has a chance to wake up. Chat announces it: "A curious smell is brewing from the Chef’s kitchen at Pirate Village."
- When that happens, go into the tavern, the building the Chef spawns above, and head upstairs: the cauldron sits on the middle table. The source has wavered on the spot: "the tavern's upper floor" until 28 September 2026, "the building behind the Chef" from 28 September to 3 October, then the tavern's upper floor again, with the central table, since 3 October, as its Pirate Village page has said since 8 September. Both wordings point to the same building, since the Chef stands on top of it.
- Put the required materials in it to cook a stew: once cooked, the boss sequence starts.
- Once the boss is beaten, claim from the Pirate Adventurer.
The materials change every time. Since 28 September 2026 the source's Island Secrets page says the stew materials are randomly chosen. Its Awakened Bosses page had already said since the 25th that they "may vary" (and, from 14 to 25 September, "a fish and a material", without saying which). So there is no fixed list to learn. What the source still does not say is how the game tells you which materials it wants, or where to find them: to be checked in game.
It drops secret items, which will make the fight worth redoing.
Desert
The stone circle ("Rune Cleanup"). There are 8 monoliths, to the right of the temple. Dust them off with your melee or sword M1 to clear the sand and reveal their symbols. A plate emerges from the ground and a cutscene plays, then go see the
Desert Adventurer to claim the reward: it is him, not the
Desert Merchant, according to the source's Island Secrets and Desert pages (we had written the merchant). The secret was called "Clean the Runes" until 28 September 2026.
Help Hasan. The full sequence is now known:
1. Find the
Silver Chest near the large pyramid and walk over it: you drop into a secret passageway.
- Follow the passage into the pyramid.
- A cutscene shows
Hasan being attacked by a Desert Skeleton. Choose to help them. - Defeat that skeleton, then the wave of skeletons that follows.
- Return to the merchant to complete it.
This secret grants 5 secret levels, like every other one. The source first announced 2 levels. We now know why: a known bug hands over 2 levels instead of 5, and talking to the NPC again gets you the rest.
The fight resets you to level 50, only for the duration of the battle. You face 4 level 50 Desert Skeletons, who only use the
Combat fighting style and have no
Aura. An Elemental fruit is therefore very effective, and
Creation lets you trap them in boxes. Avoid transforming with a
Beast fruit though: the space under the pyramid is too tight.
Prickly Harvest. After Hasan, a new dialogue line "Prickly Harvest" appears at the Desert Merchant. After some time spent on the island, the cacti bear fruit: harvest them with your sword M1, you need 10. The item you pick up is called the
Cactus Petal.
Don't want to wait? Server hopping triggers the quest just as well as waiting does. That holds for every waiting secret, see the tips below. Reward: levels and a
Refreshing Drink, handed over by the Desert Merchant. It is not just a trinket: it grants a small damage boost, but it makes your character bigger, tints the screen pink and adds an off-centre spiral. You can only hold one at a time. This is indeed the island's third secret, confirmed by two sources.
Frozen Village
Free the Ability Teacher. The ability teacher is trapped in an ice block inside the island's large cave. Hit the ice until it breaks: "You freed the ability teacher" appears. They say they need to warm up first, then teach Air Jump, Aura, and
Flash Step.
The Awakened
Yeti. Every hour on the hour, the Yeti can wake up. Chat warns you: "A dark energy awakens..." It stays invulnerable until you do the groundwork: find and destroy the 3 green ice blocks emitting green cursed energy, with Aura enabled: without it you cannot damage them (the source's Island Secrets page since 25 September 2026 at least, its Awakened Bosses page since the 16th). The boss then becomes killable, and you claim from the
Villager.
The source's first version added that you had to light 3 torches. The rewrite dropped that step without explaining why: to be checked in game.
The snowman. After a while it starts to snow, and chat announces it: "It begins to snow heavily over Frozen Village..." Piles of snow appear across the island. Touch one: it turns into a snowball, which you roll to make it bigger. Push three snowballs together: they form a single snowman, which comes alive and talks to you ("Whoa, I'm alive! It's been quite some time since the last time, thank you friend!"). You then complete it with the Villager. Redoing the quest once the secret is done still pays you for the work, according to the source's Island Secrets page (3 October 2026).
We long wrote "three snowmen": it is three snowballs for one snowman, according to the source's Island Secrets page (wording stable since 25 September 2026 at least), which also confirms the piles of snow seen in our video records.
Marine Fortress
The mast. The NPC is
Parlus, the watchtower merchant, now confirmed by the source.
1. Landing at the docks, turn ninety degrees to your right and climb the watchtower: Parlus asks you for a rope to hang his flag.
- The rope is at the far left end of the island as seen from the docks, near a small trade stand and a
Chief Petty Officer. - Bring it to the flagpole, close to the docks.
- A minigame starts: stay inside the circle to pull the flag up while cannons fire at you to knock you off.
- Report back to Parlus. Reward in experience.
You need Air Jump here too (10,000 Beli from the Ability Teacher): the source lists it as a prerequisite for this secret.
Pirate Raid. Yesterday's lead is confirmed, and the steps are published:
- Stay a while on Marine Fortress. A system message eventually appears: "Lookouts have spotted pirate sails on the horizon! The fleet will be on the Marine Fortress in 5 minutes!"
- You have five minutes to get ready: the fleet then arrives on its own, there is nobody to talk to.
Pirate brigades spawn off the fortress.- Use the fort's turrets to sink them. Each shot deals 6,000 damage, and each ship has 10,000 health: two shots per boat.
- Once every ship is down, claim from the
Marine quest giver.
The source originally required talking to Parlus to unlock a dialogue option. That step is gone: the raid triggers on its own.
The Awakened
Vice Admiral. Chat sounds the alarm: "Military weaponry has been unlocked. An alarm has sounded at Marine Fortress!". So the message itself says the fort’s weaponry is being unlocked - which incidentally confirms that the cannons become usable at that point. This is the secret we called "the cannons". Every hour on the hour, the Vice Admiral can wake up in its awakened form if you are nearby. The fort cannons start firing: you must destroy the top half of the building he resides in to silence them, which starts the fight.
The fort can only be destroyed by its own cannons, including the two "front buster cannons" at the guard posts: that is most likely how the building comes down.
End message: on 28 September 2026 the source went back to the generic "(your username) defeated the awakened Vice Admiral!"; it gave "The alarms fall silent." from 26 to 28 September.
Skylands
The invaded castle ("Return the Treasure"). Stay a while on the lower island: the message eventually drops, "
Enemies have invaded the Skylands Castle!"
The source briefly announced about 40 minutes, then went back to "after an unspecified amount of time" an hour later. No wait is reliably quantified.
- Head to the castle, on the lower part of the Skylands.
- Break the large brown roof hatch using the prompt that appears.
- Go in and defeat every enemy.
- Pick up the piece of paper on the table, near the hatch: it carries a code.
- Enter that code into the Angelic Vault and take the treasure.
- Report back to the
Angel Guard, at the farthest house in the village, on the second highest island.
Completion message: "(your username) drove the invaders out of the Skylands castle!"
The secret cloud ("Unexpected Guest"). This is a separate secret, not a variant of the one above: chat announces "A secret cloud has appeared over the Skylands!"
1. A yellow cloud starts flying around the islands.
- Hit it with a skill: a chest falls. Do it three times.
- On the third, a diamond chest drops. Find it and interact with it.
- A group of enemies spawns: beat them all. The last one drops the key to the chest.
- Open the chest.
Completion message: "(your username) shook the Skylands treasure out of the secret cloud!"
Unstable trigger. The source is on its fourth version: pass through the cloud, then pass through or hit it, and now hit it with a skill only. If passing through does nothing, that is expected: hit it.
For several days the source mixed this secret up with the previous one, giving sometimes the cloud and sometimes the castle as the trigger for a single quest. They are two distinct secrets.
The
Mad Scientist's
Lightning Bolt ("Missing Lightning Bolt").
- Arriving by the docks, turn left to the Mad Scientist. He asks you for a Lightning Bolt.
- Climb to the top of the island and look for a cloud flashing dark grey.
- Break it with any attack: you get the Lightning Bolt.
- Bring it back to the Mad Scientist.
The source originally asked for AoE abilities and several hits down to the smallest piece. It has since simplified: any attack will do.
Upper Skylands
The old temple ("The Old Temple"). The source called it Temple Intel for a few hours on 28 September 2026, before going back to The Old Temple overnight. Go see the second sky quest giver (
Sky Quest Giver 2, on the second island) and choose the line about the old temple.
- Follow the exclamation mark to the temple door and break it with a move that has destructible physics.
- Inside, at the center, energy towers surround the item to collect (the source has called it "intel" since 28 September, "Relic" before). Get close and interact with each tower, jumping if needed to reach it: turn each tower to face the next until the electric currents form a circle.
- A cutscene plays: the item moves around the room, then into your inventory. Outside, the storm erupts.
- Head back to the quest giver while dodging the lightning and hand the item over.
Reward: experience, and the storm stops.
Run as soon as you have the item. Once the relic is in your inventory, the
Lightning God boss starts targeting you. Do not linger between the temple and the quest giver.
The Awakened Sky Warlord. Chat announces "A storm brews in the upper skylands...". Every hour, it has a chance to wake up. To start the fight, hit the lightning clouds above the structure it spawns in.
The Awakened Lightning God. Chat announces "The bell shimmers in upper skylands...". Every hour too, and it has the most unusual trigger in the sea:
1. Go to the bell and strike it.
- Icons pop up on it: a gun, a sword, a fist.
- Strike the bell with the matching weapon, six times in a row.
- A cutscene plays, and the boss awakens.
Prison
Prevent the escape. Three "special" prisoners are each working on their own plan: one is building a raft, one is trying to break through a wall, one is digging a hole.
Use Ken Haki (
Instinct) to spot them: they have animations that set them apart from the other prisoners.
Get close and the message "Confront prisoner before attacking" appears. Hit them at that point. Do all three, then claim from the
Jail Keeper (the source has named him since 28 September 2026).
The Warden's key and cape.
- Go to the
Warden boss: the key is on the central platform behind him. - The key is lying on the ground: pick it up. It has a name, the Cell Block Key.
3. Head to the central area. Go up to the top floor and unlock it with the key: the door opens and another staircase is revealed.
- Go up, and steal the cape sitting on the chair to the right as you come up: it is Don Megalo's
Coat. - A hostile NPC stops you: it is the
Megalo Guard, a level 250 boss. Beat it, then pick the cape back up. - Claim from the Jail Keeper.
This coat is called the Megalo's Coat. It reuses the
Pink Coat model,
Swan's old coat, but does not show up in your inventory: don't go looking for it, it is unlocked.
The Awakened Warden. Every hour, the Warden has a chance to wake up. Once it has spawned in the central building, flick the levers in the rightmost room. The source gives the order two ways that line up: by position, 2, 3, 4, 1 numbering from left to right (Island Secrets page), and by colour, red, blue, green, blue (Prison page, since 14 September 2026). The two match (2 = red, 3 = blue, 4 = green, 1 = blue). Remember the colours, it is safer than counting.
Its damage and health scale with your level: it hits very hard and soaks up a lot, whatever your level. Once beaten, report to the Jail Keeper.
Colosseum
The statues ("Previous Champions"). Hit each statue with the attack type matching its pose: sword on the sword statue, fruit on the fruit one, fist on the melee one, gun on the gun one. Their eyes light up when correct. Then talk to the quest giver.
Colosseum Quest GiverThe Emperor’s gladiators ("Gladiatorial Combat"). The secret finally has an official name, given by the Colosseum Emperor page. The Colosseum Emperor stands on the topmost stand, opposite the entrance to the colosseum. Talk to him and go through 3 rounds without dying: every enemy of the three waves must be beaten in one go (source clarification of 28 September 2026):
| Round | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1 | 2 |
| 2 | 2 Gladiators + 1 Upgraded Gladiator |
| 3 | 3 Gladiators + 2 Upgraded + 1 Supreme Gladiator |
The crowded colosseum ("Crowded Colosseum"). The island's third secret is confirmed and named, but its walkthrough stops mid-sentence.
The final sequence is published, and it bears no resemblance to what the source first announced:
- Stay a while at the Colosseum. The message "A roar of excitement echoes from the Colosseum." eventually appears (wording in place since 14 September on the Island Secrets page and taken over by the System Messages page; the Colosseum (First Sea) page still shows the old sentence "The Colosseum stands are filling up - the crowd wants a show!").
- Go down into the arena and look for a greyed out target hidden on one of the pillars.
- Shoot it. A cutscene plays, the crowd cheers, and the camera pans to a red and white target.
- A 90 second timer starts, with the message "The crowd gathers! Chase the targets and fill the meter before the time runs out." The meter and timer are shown at the west end of the arena.
- Hunt the targets down and hit or shoot them. After 18 targets, the timer stops (the page said 20 until 14 September 2026).
The source recommends
Buddha or a fast fire rate gun for this secret (28 September 2026).
Completion message: "(your username) became the crowd's favorite!"
If the target is not activated before the delay runs out, the chat shows "The Colosseum crowd has cleared out" (source's Colosseum (First Sea) page, 4 October 2026).
We first published a version where you had to start a friendly duel with another player. The source flagged it as uncertain, and it turned out to be wrong: this secret is done solo, like all the others.
The quest giver's hint points the same way: "Gladiators used to break targets to put on a show for the crowd."
Magma Village
The lava nest ("Magma Nest"). In the middle of the large lava lake, you can spot a lava geyser.
The secret plays out in rounds:
- A first elemental mini boss comes out of the geyser: defeat it.
- Two more rounds follow, with one extra mini boss each time (two, then three).
- Then break the geyser with any M1: a last batch of mini bosses comes out, beat them too.
Then claim from
The Mayor. The source's Island Secrets page rewrote this walkthrough on 2 October 2026; its Magma Village page still gives the old version, a single mini boss that splits into three when it dies.
Magma Ore Extraction. The secret is solved, and the source no longer flags it as bugged. It is a stealth minigame:
- Stay a while on the island. The message "A loud drilling is shaking the Magma Village" eventually appears: that is your cue.
- Head to the back of the island, near the water: the mineshaft entrance is there.
- Get on the elevator to go down.
- The minigame starts: avoid the light beams cast by the workers and make your way to the drilling area.
- Destroy the drill at the end of the shaft, then take the second elevator back out.
The
Living Skeleton is the NPC who mentions this secret.
The Awakened
Magma General. Chat rumbles: "A rumbling echoes out to the sea...". Every hour, the boss has a chance to wake up. To be able to fight it:
- Break the five small lava geysers spread around the outside of the volcano, with any M1.
- You then face a heavily buffed version of the Magma General, then claim from The Mayor.
It hits very hard and its stats scale with your level: levelling up does not make this fight easier.
The boss really is called Magma General since Update 30: it replaced the Magma Admiral, just as the Lightning God replaced the
Thunder God. The video documenting this secret still says Magma Admiral, the old name.
Underwater City
The bubbles ("Ride the Bubble"). Spot a coral releasing clear white bubbles and jump into one: it carries you up to a cove, the Hidden Cove (the source called it Coral Cave until 28 September 2026). A dark chest sits at the center: open it, three enemies spawn. Beat them, then head back down through the whirlpool and claim the quest from the island's NPC.
The city’s clams are not a secret in their own right, but they are worth opening: some spawn an enemy, and they grant Beli,
Bounty and EXP. One of them also holds the
Fishman Lord’s black pearl, below.
The mirrors ("Scattered Light"). That is the source's name for it; we had called it Mirror Lights. The steps:
- Stand to the right of the Fishman Lord's castle.
- There you find crystals, a beam of light passing through them, and a dark symbol on the wall (the source said a dark patch of sand until 28 September 2026).
- Move the crystals the light does not hit yet to reflect the beam onto that symbol. A correctly placed crystal becomes immovable.
- This frees the Water Kung-Fu Teacher. Talk to him, then claim at
King Neptune.
The Awakened Fishman Lord. Chat announces "The water is stirring - the Fishman Lord has risen...". Every hour, it has a chance to wake up. To start the fight, find the clam holding the black pearl and claim it. Then beat the boss and claim from King Neptune.
The slot the source left blank under the name "light behind the castle" turned out to be the bubble secret described above: it was not an extra secret.
Fountain City
Pipe repairs. Head to the large central fountain and hit the pipes with M1s to realign them: that restores the water pressure. Once every pipe is aligned, the boat is ready. Get on the driver's seat and you are blasted off the top of the fountain into the sea.
Reward: a secret level, and unlocking the
Grand Brigade, which you can then buy from the
Boat Dealer. The Grand Brigade page has confirmed it since 19 October 2026: a server message "You have unlocked the <Grand Brigade> boat!" appears after the cutscene. You claim it from the
Freezeburg Quest Giver.
The sewers ("Sewer Gang"). Far more than a single room of enemies:
1. Wait on the island and watch the chat: the trigger is a full moon, announced by the message "The light of a full moon peaks through the clouds.". A platform covered in plates appears next to the Freezeburg Quest Giver, and you can interact with it. You do not have to rush it at night: once the quest has appeared, it stays completable in broad daylight.
The 20 September dispute was settled during the night of 21 to 22 September 2026, and the two contributors who were at odds were both right at the same time. The source now writes that a full moon is not required, but guarantees the spawn: the quest may also appear at other times. So the one who had seen it spawn outside a full moon and the one who checked every full moon for a week without ever missing it were describing the same behaviour. In practice, if you want this secret for sure, wait for a full moon.
The platform is to the left of the Freezeburg Quest Giver. Both source pages have said so since 15 October 2026: until then, Island Secrets put it on the right and Fountain City on the left. The Fountain City page adds that it can be lifted about every 15 minutes. 2. Lift the platform: a manhole is revealed underneath. Go down. 3. Defeat the enemies in each room, then break the wall to move on to the next one. 4. In the third and final room a boss awaits.
The Awakened
Cyborg. Chat announces "The junkyard has been magnetized by lightning...".
- Head to the junkyard: the wires on the ground around the Cyborg are damaged.
- Repair them with any attack. The boss sequence starts.
- Beat it.
Completion message: "(your username) repaired the junkyard wires and put the Cyborg down!"
Middle Town
Early Access. The full sequence is published, and it starts with an entrance nobody would guess:
1. Break the window above the broken cart, next to the
Experienced Captain, and go in.
2. Wait, and be patient. The developer, Janus, takes longer to show up than the other secrets’ triggers, and once he is there he only stays 30 minutes. Keep an eye out: miss him and you wait for the next window.
His spawn rules, published 14 September 2026, change how you hunt for him: - The roll happens every 30 minutes, starting at UTC midnight. - The later in the UTC day, the higher the chance. Searching early in the UTC day is wasted time. - He spawns only once per day. Once he has been and gone, you wait for the next UTC midnight. - His spawn is GLOBAL: server hopping does nothing. That is the mistake to avoid, since server hopping works for just about every other secret. 3. Talk to him, then head to the
Robotmega building. 4. Grab the key sitting next to the
Aura Editor: it is the Rear Door Key, and it only appears once you have spoken to Janus. 5. Go around to the back of that same building and unlock the door with it. 6. A cutscene plays: your character hacks a computer to steal a special system. 7. Go back to Janus: he grants you the tester role.
This secret was called "Tester Room" in the source's early versions, with a different walkthrough mentioning an "Indra Room" and a red key. That version was wrong: the key is the one by the Aura Editor, and no room by that name exists.
Lookout Duty. A memory minigame, down at the docks:
1. Talk to the Experienced Captain, near the docks, and pick the "Keep lookout" option, the second one in the dialogue.
- Either the minigame starts, or he tells you to come back later - and in that case he gives you a timer, so you are not left guessing.
- Watch the sails of the passing ships: how many, and which colour. At the end of each of the four waves, he asks a question about that wave: the total number of sails, or their colour. Record your screen during the wave: you can watch it back before answering.
- You need 4 correct answers out of 4. Then talk to him again for the rewards.
The minigame is called "Count The Flags", and you can redo it if you fail: nothing is lost.
Hidden Treasure ("X Marks the Spot"). This one you trigger yourself, by hitting the scenery:
- Walk around Middle Town hitting trees, barrels, boxes and lamps with your melee M1. The ones inside the teleporter room count too.
- When the scenery starts shaking, that is the right one: it drops a treasure map.
3. The map reveals clues leading you to a spot to dig.
4. You dig up a chest and skeletons attack. Beat them.
The steps for this last one are still rough on the source, which writes "someone improve this" itself.
The Finale, the 40th secret. This one is on no island and awards no star: it is the very last one, and it grants the 5 levels that take you to 3000.
- Finish every other island secret first. While one is missing, the sequence will not trigger.
- Go to the Middle Town teleporter, in the central building.
- Select each island in order, without teleporting to them. The order is the one of their level requirement, lowest to highest:
Pirate Starter / Marine Starter > Jungle > Pirate Village > Desert > Frozen Village > Marine Fortress > Lower Skylands > Prison > Colosseum > Magma Village > Underwater City > Upper Skylands > Fountain City.
4. A cutscene plays, then you are teleported to your team's starter island and the last 5 levels are granted.
Published on 22 September 2026 on the Island Secrets page. Nothing else has covered it yet and the Middle Town page does not mention it. If the sequence does not trigger for you, first check that no other secret is missing.
The Tester Room was the last big hole in our page. Its existence was certain once a player who had finished every other island still saw Middle Town at 0 stars, but nobody had published the steps before the morning of 6 September.
This is also where the Secret Master stands, in the mansion where The Saw spawns: go in and jump up high. Besides hints about the secrets, he tells you where and when the awakened bosses will appear, which makes him the best starting point for hunting them.
Middle Town finally holds the teleporter fed by your stars.
Five tips that save you time
The source has finally published player tips, and two of them genuinely change things.
Damage that ignores the boss's level. Awakened bosses scale their stats with your level, which keeps the fight hard whatever your character. Two abilities escape that rule because their damage does not depend on the boss's level: the Cyborg's
Energy Core and
Draco V3's Flash Step passive (that is the tier where the Flash Step explosion deals damage; at V2 it is purely visual). That is the best answer for a high level player.
Server hopping works for EVERY waiting quest. Whenever a secret triggers "after an unspecified amount of time", hopping servers brings it up far faster than waiting.
Count on 40 to 45 minutes on the island. On a private server, a waiting secret has a chance to trigger once you have spent 40 to 45 minutes on the island (Island Secrets page, 28 September 2026). The delay is the same on a public server, but if other players are camping other islands, the game may trigger the secret there instead of on yours.
Finding the awakened boss you are missing. Each server rolls a different boss: if you want a specific one, hop servers until you land on it rather than waiting for hours.
Marine Fortress pirate raid. With the Creation fruit, build temporary structures around the docks: the pirate ships can no longer get close enough to target the cannons. Without that fruit, a large boat parked in the right spot does the same job, a Grand Brigade for instance.
Magma Village mineshaft. Enter the mine before the quest triggers and stand near the drill: you skip the patrolling workers at the entrance entirely.
Research progress and what to watch out for
Page updated on September 22, 2026.
All 40 secrets are identified, and 39 have usable steps. Thirty-nine are spread across 13 islands, three per island; the fortieth, "The Finale", triggers at the Middle Town teleporter once every other one is done.
Still to find: how Pirate Village's Awakened Chef asks for his cauldron materials. The source has said since 28 September 2026 that they are randomly chosen, but not how the game tells you which ones, nor where to get them.
The 40th secret has been found. Published on 22 September 2026, it is "The Finale": the island sequence at the Middle Town teleporter, described above. It is worth the last 5 levels and makes 3000 reachable. It also explains the 2995 wall observed in the field on 18 September 2026 with every quest done: it was not an island secret that was missing, but this sequence. The information dates from today and is not corroborated elsewhere yet: to be confirmed in game.
Islands with no known secret: Pirate Starter Island, Marine Starter Island, and Jean-Luc Island. Note that the absence of a secret is not proven. Middle Town, long uncertain, does have its three secrets (Early Access, Lookout Duty, X Marks the Spot), described above.
Where this info comes from. From players exploring the sea and commenting on what they do (especially the AccelToWin channel, which posts a video per secret), cross-referenced with two press guides and, when they exist, Fandom pages. The Fandom was long far behind, but its Island Secrets page, created on the night of 6 September, is now complete and reliable: it describes the 39 known secrets, island by island, with the chat messages that announce them. It notably gave us Frozen Village's Awakened Yeti, the Prison's lever boss and the Vice Admiral's sequence, and its early mistakes (Parlus placed in the Desert, for instance) have been corrected.
Three traps to know about:
- The Saber puzzle is not an Update 30 secret. Two big guide sites present the Jungle's green buttons and the room under the quest giver as novelties. It's the old Saber puzzle, documented publicly since March 2025.
- "3 secrets per island" only holds for 13 islands. Across the 16 reworked islands that would be 48, when the official says 40: the three islands with no known secret have none, and the 40th is not on an island. The Fandom page, structured with three slots per island, is now filled in for those 13 islands.
- Teleporters are settled. There is one, in the central building of Middle Town, and each island becomes a destination as soon as its three secrets are done - except Middle Town itself, which is the hub. Marine Starter and Pirate Starter are unlocked by default. Both versions going around held half the answer: the teleporter is indeed a single one, but it does not require all 40 stars at once.
Secret names change often. The source renames them without warning: the Middle Town treasure and the Skylands castle swapped the name "X Marks the Spot" within a day. Trust the walkthrough and the island, not the title.
The 39 star counter was right, and it does not move. The game asks for "3 stars on every island, a total of 39 stars" to unlock the Secrets Master's stories, while the update announces 40 secrets. We had deduced that the 40th granted no island star and lay elsewhere: that is exactly what "The Finale" is, played at the teleporter. So the Secrets Master's counter stays at 39 stars, and that is normal.

Mechanic : Island Secrets·Released : Update 30
-
Update 30 19 octobre 2026 Adjustment
- Fountain City Pipe Repairs secret: unlocking the Grand Brigade is no longer "to confirm". The Grand Brigade page has stated it since 19 October 2026, with the server message "You have unlocked the <Grand Brigade> boat!".
-
Update 30 15 octobre 2026 Adjustment
- Sewer Gang secret: the liftable platform is to the left of the Freezeburg Quest Giver. The Island Secrets page, which put it on the right, was aligned on 15 October 2026 with the Fountain City page: this page no longer asks you to look on both sides.
-
Update 30 9 octobre 2026 Adjustment
- Lookout Duty (Middle Town): on 9 October 2026 the Island Secrets page added the advice to record your screen while the ships pass, so you can watch the wave back before answering. Step 3 of the walkthrough now says so.
-
Update 30 4 octobre 2026 Adjustment
- Secrets Master window: on 4 October 2026 the Island Secrets page dropped the final-ten-minutes-on-private-servers caveat published the day before (a contributor who reports testing it several times). The source's three pages say the final half hour on public and private servers alike; the entry keeps the history.
-
Update 30 4 octobre 2026 Adjustment
- Crowded Colosseum: 18 targets instead of 20 (the source page has said 18 since 14 September 2026, the entry had kept the old figure); "The Colosseum crowd has cleared out" message when the target is not activated in time (Colosseum (First Sea) page, 4 October 2026).
-
Update 30 3 octobre 2026 Adjustment
- Secrets Master window: since 3 October 2026 the source's Island Secrets page distinguishes the final half hour on public servers from the final ten minutes on private servers; the entry carries the distinction with its date. Middle Town hidden treasure: screenshot of the completed map taken from the same page.
-
Update 30 3 octobre 2026 Adjustment
- Four screenshots taken from the source's Island Secrets page (3 October 2026): the Awakened Chef's cauldron on the tavern table, the ladder to the Prison's top floor, an Underwater City clam and the Lightning God's bell.
Snowman: redoing the quest once the secret is done still pays, according to the same page.
- Four screenshots taken from the source's Island Secrets page (3 October 2026): the Awakened Chef's cauldron on the tavern table, the ladder to the Prison's top floor, an Underwater City clam and the Lightning God's bell.
-
Update 30 3 octobre 2026 Adjustment
- Awakened Chef: the cauldron is on the tavern's upper floor, on the middle table (source's Island Secrets page rewritten on 3 October 2026, Pirate Village page since 8 September). The wording "the building behind the Chef" pointed to the same building, the one he stands on; the history of both wordings stays on the page.
-
Update 30 3 octobre 2026 Adjustment
- Magma Nest: the walkthrough now has three rounds of mini bosses (one, two, then three) before breaking the geyser, per the source's Island Secrets page rewritten on 2 October 2026. The old version (one mini boss splitting into three) is still mentioned: the source's Magma Village page still gives it.
-
Update 30 1er octobre 2026 Adjustment
- "Unexpected Guest" secret (Skylands): the source published a screenshot of the golden cloud, now shown at step 1 of the walkthrough.
-
Update 30 30 septembre 2026 Adjustment
- Lookout Duty: the dialogue option is called "Keep lookout", and the end-of-wave question is about the total number of sails or their colour (source rewording of 30 September 2026). Dialogue capture added. The rest of the source page was only proofread, with no change of substance.
-
Update 30 29 septembre 2026 Adjustment
- Secrets Master window: the source's Island Secrets page goes back to thirty minutes on 29 September 2026, the seventh change in four days (four moves to thirty by four contributors, three reverts to ten by the same editor). The Secrets Master and Awakened Bosses pages have said thirty without interruption since the 26th. The entry gives the final half hour, tells the dispute and keeps the ten-to fallback.
-
Update 30 29 septembre 2026 Adjustment
- The Upper Skylands temple secret is back to its name The Old Temple: the source reverted overnight on 28 to 29 September, after calling it Temple Intel for a few hours. Rune Cleanup (Desert) keeps its new name. The last ten minutes window for the Secrets Master was restored once more (half an hour had been added, then removed).
-
Update 30 28 septembre 2026 Adjustment
- Two secrets renamed by the source on 28 September 2026: Clean the Runes becomes Rune Cleanup (Desert) and The Old Temple becomes Temple Intel (Upper Skylands). Rune Cleanup is turned in to the Desert Adventurer, not the Desert Merchant as we wrote.
- Temple Intel rewritten from the source: door to break with a destructible-physics move, towers to turn toward the next one, item ("intel", formerly Relic) to bring back to the quest giver while dodging the lightning.
- Save Hasan: you drop into the secret passage by walking over the Silver Chest. Zipline Repair: hold to aim the hook, release to throw, like fishing. Gladiatorial Combat: the three waves must be cleared without dying. Prison Break is turned in to the Jail Keeper. Ride the Bubble: the cove is called Hidden Cove (Coral Cave before) and the chest is dark. Scattered Light (which we called Mirror Lights): the light is reflected onto a dark symbol, no longer a patch of sand.
- Ten captures added from the source's Island Secrets page: Jungle grappling hook, Desert chest entrance and runes, Prison prisoners, Colosseum statues, Magma Village geyser, Underwater City corals and crystals, Upper Skylands towers, Fountain City pipes.
-
Update 30 28 septembre 2026 Adjustment
- Secrets Master window: the Island Secrets page goes back to the final ten minutes of the hour (28 September 2026 revert, the editor calling the previous edits incorrect), the Secrets Master and Awakened Bosses pages still say the final half hour; the entry gives both and keeps the final ten minutes as the safe window.
- Pirate Village: the tavern bartender hands over a random potion ("Aggro Elixir" from 26 to 28 September 2026, "weird brew" before).
- Marine Fortress: the Awakened Vice Admiral's end message is the generic one again ("The alarms fall silent." from 26 to 28 September 2026).
- Tips: on a private server, a waiting secret has a chance to trigger after 40 to 45 minutes on the island (same delay in public, but the game may pick another occupied island); Buddha or a fast fire rate gun recommended for the Crowded Colosseum.
- Pirate Village: the tavern pirates are at the back of the room, each with his own weapon (fists, Cutlass, Flintlock); you talk to the Tavern Owner then to the Pirate Adventurer for the reward, as for the windmill; the Awakened Chef's cauldron is in the building behind him (the Island Secrets page now agrees with the Awakened Bosses page) and its materials are randomly chosen each time (28 September 2026). Screenshots of the windmill and the tavern.
- Frozen Village: three snowballs make a single snowman (not three snowmen), the piles of snow are confirmed; Aura is required to break the Awakened Yeti's green ice blocks. Screenshots of the cave, the piles of snow and the finished snowman.
-
Update 30 26 septembre 2026 Adjustment
- Secrets Master window: the source's Awakened Bosses page also moves to thirty minutes (evening of 26 September 2026), the entry drops the final ten minutes caveat.
-
Update 30 26 septembre 2026 Adjustment
- Pirate Village: the tavern bartender hands over an Aggro Elixir (the source spoke of a "weird brew" until 26 September 2026).
- Marine Fortress: the Awakened Vice Admiral's end message becomes "The alarms fall silent." (the source used to give the generic message).
- Secrets Master window: the Island Secrets page has said the final half hour since the evening of 25 September 2026, the Awakened Bosses page keeps ten minutes; the entry gives both and keeps the final ten minutes as the safe window.
- An island whose three secrets are completed gets a yellow glow on the map.
- Prison: three screenshots added (the key behind the Warden, the gate to Megalo's cell, the Awakened Warden's levers), published on the source side on 24 September 2026.
-
Update 30 25 septembre 2026 Adjustment
- Awakened Chef: the source's Awakened Bosses page drops the fish mention and goes back to "materials" that "may vary" in the cauldron. The walkthrough no longer names a fish; what goes in remains unknown.
-
Update 30 22 septembre 2026 Adjustment
- The source states that the secrets have no set order between them: you can do the ones you are able to do, with no consequence for the others.
-
Update 30 22 septembre 2026 Adjustment
- The coat stolen at the end of the Mysterious Key secret now has a published name: the Megalo's Coat. It reuses the Pink Coat model, which Swan used to drop, but it is no longer the same item.
-
Update 30 22 septembre 2026 Adjustment
- The level 3000 section was rewritten in a plainer tone, without colour markers or cause tables, and The Finale walkthrough is now given in full rather than pointed to another page.
-
Update 30 22 septembre 2026 Adjustment
- Sewer Gang secret: the 20 September dispute is settled. A full moon is not required but it guarantees the spawn, and the quest may also appear at other times. The side of the platform, though, stays contradictory between the two source pages (right on Island Secrets, left on Fountain City).
- Rewards: some secret quests also pay money, up to 100,000 Beli.
-
Update 30 18 septembre 2026 Adjustment
- System messages aligned with the source: Crowded Colosseum is now announced by "A roar of excitement echoes from the Colosseum." (instead of "The Colosseum stands are filling up - the crowd wants a show!"), and the two source typos on Marine Fortress are fixed ("Lookouts have", "weaponry").
-
Update 30 18 septembre 2026 Adjustment
- Correction: the actual reachable maximum is 2995, not 3000. Field check on 18 September (every quest done, stuck at 2995): the source announces 40 secrets but documents only 39, that is 195 secret levels.
- The 10 September fix raised the technical wall from 2995 to 3000 without granting the 5 missing levels: 3000 remains theoretical until the 40th secret is located.
- Added the two possible causes of being stuck at 2995 (missing 40th secret or the 2 level bug) and the Stats menu test to tell them apart.
-
Update 30 22 septembre 2026 Adjustment
- The 40th secret is identified: "The Finale", the island sequence at the Middle Town teleporter, to be done once every other secret is complete. It grants the last 5 levels and makes level 3000 reachable.
- The 2995 wall is explained: no island secret was missing, this sequence was.
