Pirate Village is an island in the
First Sea west of
Middle Town, designed for levels 30 to 60. You chain quests against
Pirates and
Brutes before facing the boss
Chef, with some helpful
NPCs like the
Dark Step Teacher. Reworked by Update 30, the island now hides three secrets: a windmill to free, a tavern brawl against three Tavern Pirates, and the Chef in his awakened form.
How to get it
Travel west of Middle Town in the First Sea. In progression, the island comes after
Jungle and before
Desert. The port (2 docks) is located south of the island.
What you'll find there
Quests: three, all given by the
Pirate Adventurer (table below)- NPCs: Dark Step Teacher,
Blacksmith,
Sword Dealer of the West,
Rich Man,
Pirate Recruiter,
Home Points,
Boat Dealer
Enemies:
Pirate, Brute; boss: Chef- 3 Gold chests: near the Rich Man, in the Chef's house, above the Home Point NPC toward the bridge
- 1
Diamond chest: on the arch at the island's entrance, hidden by crates
What the island looks like
The island is split in two: the village, paved with cobblestone, with its multicolored houses and a purple-roofed mansion with a flag, and the surrounding wilderness, made of jagged rocks, grassy terrain and sparse trees. The port, to the south, has two docks and handles two ships at a time.

Island Secrets (Update 30)
Like every island reworked by Update 30, Pirate Village hides three secrets. The quest giver's Rumor dialogue option gives you the clue to the current secret.
Free the Windmill. The windmill near the middle of the island has 5 ropes attached to its blades. Cut all five with any sword M1 to free the windmill, then talk to the Pirate Adventurer to claim the reward.
Tavern Brawl. After waiting a while on the island, the chat shows: "Trouble has broken out at the tavern!". Breach the tavern door: at the back of the room, three Tavern Pirates (level 45, no
Aura; one bare-handed, one with a
Cutlass, one with a
Flintlock) are causing trouble. Defeat them, talk to the Tavern Owner, who gives you a random potion, then to the Pirate Adventurer for the reward. The Tavern Owner stands on the ground floor, below the Chef's kitchen; when you talk to them, they say "Help, they've been at it for hours! They'll bring the whole tavern down!" (source's Tavern Owner page, created on 4 October 2026). End message: "(your username) threw the punks out of the tavern!".
Awakened Chef. When the Chef awakens, the chat says: "A curious smell is brewing from the Chef's kitchen at Pirate Village.". Go into the tavern, the building the Chef spawns above, head upstairs and put the required materials in the cauldron on the middle table to cook a stew: the fight against the awakened boss starts. The source wrote "the building behind the Chef" from 28 September to 3 October 2026: it is the same building. End message: "(your username) served the awakened Chef his last meal!". The materials are randomly chosen each time according to the source (28 September 2026), which does not say how the game tells you which ones. Awakened bosses appear every hour, the
Secrets Master at Middle Town tells you which one at the end of the hour (the final half hour, his entry has the details), and beating it while dealing at least 10% of its health grants a free roll at the
Awakened Boss Gacha.
What you get. Each secret is worth 5 secret levels, so 15 for the island, and once all three are done, Pirate Village becomes a destination of the Middle Town teleporter, inside the central building. The full step-by-step walkthrough is on the Island Secrets page.
Good to know
- The Dark Step Teacher is on site if you want to learn this combat style.
- The Diamond chest on the entrance arch is hidden by crates: easy to miss.
- All the island's enemies use swords: the
Blade fruit, immune to swords, is recommended here, and any
Elemental fruit (
Smoke, Ice,
Flame,
Dark,
Light,
Magma) does the job too, easy to obtain and with AoE attacks. - Many First Sea players come chest hunting here, the island has plenty of them.
