Legendary is a rarity tier that applies to items in your inventory. These items are extremely powerful and are found mainly in end-game areas, with the
Third Sea leading the way. The source describes them as useful for pretty much all activities: they lack a bit of raw power compared to the tier above, but they reward precision. Another notable feature: it's the rarity that receives reworks and balance changes most often. The category has existed since the very beginning of the game, January 16, 2019, with update 1.
How to get it
The rarity itself isn't obtained - it's a label carried by items that you obtain like any other item of the same type (purchase, boss drop, crafting, fishing, gacha).
It covers nine families of items:
Blox Fruits,
Swords,
Guns,
Accessories,
Materials,
Baits,
Fishes,
Scrolls, and
Boats.
What a Legendary item is worth
- They are extremely powerful and mainly used in end-game content, particularly in the Third Sea.
- They remain versatile: the source describes them as useful for all activities.
- They require more precision than items of the tier above, which compensate with raw power.
- They are adjusted far more often than other rarities: a Legendary item you like today can be rebalanced in the next update.
Legendary fruits in practice
The source considers that almost all fruits of this rarity are effective in all activities, and gives some guidelines:
- Farm:
Buddha is widely considered the best fruit for grinding. - PvP:
Phoenix,
Portal,
Quake,
Pain, and
Lightning are among the best choices. Buddha,
Blizzard,
Sound, Awakened
Spider,
Creation, and
Love are good fruits as well.
Mastery: Creation requires the lowest Mastery of the entire category, even though it's not the cheapest fruit.
Good to know
Beast Hunter is the only boat in the game to carry a rarity.- The rarity has existed since update 1, January 16, 2019.
