He uses the old skills of the non-Awakened Magma fruit.

Attack	What It Does	To Know	How to Avoid It
Magma Fist	He sends a magma-covered fist with a decent hitbox.	Decent damage and knockback if it hits.	Stay at distance, the projectile travels very slowly. Dash or Flash Step.
Magma Column	He strikes the ground and creates a column (the same model as the old non-Awakened Flame C) that disappears leaving a damage zone around him.	He launches it when you're close. It also creates a rock barrier that prevents you from fleeing, and it hits very hard.	Limit your M1 close combat for a while and keep your distance: the column can kill you very quickly.

How to Defeat Him

• The best choice remains his own fruit, Magma: it makes you immune to lava while there's a lava pool in the middle of the volcano. Without it, as soon as you step in the lava, you take huge continuous damage.
• Play at distance: his movements and attacks have reduced range and area, so staying far allows you to dodge easily.
• You can also counter him by dashing constantly, since his attacks are very slow. Light works very well for this, its F allowing you to dodge all his attacks.
• Flame is also recommended for the huge knockback of his X, Burning Blast. Given the arena's shape, Magma Admiral will never be permanently ejected, and if he falls somewhere odd he respawns in the arena. His X, C (Fire Column), and V (Flame Destroyer) can even knock him to the ground, immobile for a few seconds. Warning: on the ground, he can still use his powers, so don't stay right next to him.
• If you play sword or melee, take a gun that does decent damage (the Cannon for example), plus Instinct and Flash Step to disengage quickly after hitting. All that still comes to 850,000 Beli.
• The hit and run technique works well: you dash toward him, land a hit, and get out before he reacts. Just be careful not to run out of energy, or you can't dodge anymore, and remember he can use Magma Column if you stay too close.
• Another approach: lure him into the central lava pool and circle him while dashing. Magma Fist is slow so easy to dodge, and he won't use Magma Column if he's not near you. A stunning fruit like Ice or Light keeps him in place afterward.
• If you have an Elemental fruit, server hopping is interesting: it's not popular, while the island's NPCs use Aura, which makes farming there annoying.

Things to Know

• Magma Fist and Magma Column are the old Z and X of non-Awakened Magma, but his version of Magma Fist only fires a single projectile and his Magma Column has a smaller area.
• He walks in lava without taking any damage.
• Along with Hydra Leader and Sky Warlord, he's one of the only bosses that drops a gun (the Core aside).
• He wears a variant of the Marine Cap and Coat, but gets no bonus from them.
