The level system is at the heart of 
Blox Fruits: you gain EXP by beating enemies, completing quests, or facing 
Raid Bosses. Each level gives you 3 stat points to distribute among Melee, Defense, Sword, Gun, and Blox Fruit. And as your level rises, the EXP required for the next one skyrockets, up to the max level by grinding: 2800. Since Update 30, the Secret Levels earned in the 
First Sea 
Island Secrets let you go past that cap: all the way to 3000.
How to get it
EXP comes from enemies, quests, Raid Bosses, and even the 
Gravestone. 
Codes, 2x EXP from the shop, and certain Raid Bosses let you gain multiple levels at once. Past 2800, only Secret Levels still raise you.
How it works
- Each level gained gives 3 stat points, to distribute among Melee, Defense, Sword, Gun, and Blox Fruit.
- The stat point cap in one category equals your level cap: 2800 by default, +5 per completed Island Secret, that is 2995 with the 39 known secrets (3000 in theory with the 40th). Without
Race Awakening, you can max out only three stat categories at most. - Required EXP increases with level: at level 100 for example, you need 2 x (100^2.3) + 84 EXP to level up next.
- It takes 143,840,871,332 EXP total to reach level 2800. Once maxed, you gain no more EXP: the next levels do not go through EXP, they require completing Island Secrets, 5 levels per secret.
- You can gain multiple levels at once thanks to codes, 2x EXP bought from the shop, or by defeating certain Raid Bosses.
Going past 2800: secret levels
Since Update 30, classic farming still caps at 2800. The levels above that, the Secret Levels, are tied to the First Sea island secrets: 5 levels per secret, 40 secrets, so 200 levels and a 3000 maximum. The stat point cap follows the same path.
Thirty-nine of those secrets are on the islands, three per island across thirteen islands, and are worth 195 levels. The fortieth, The Finale, hands over the last five: once every other secret is done, go to the 
Middle Town teleporter and select each island in progression order, without teleporting. A cutscene plays, then the levels drop. The full island order is on the Island Secrets page. It was published on 22 September 2026, and it explains the 2995 wall that players kept hitting even after doing everything.
Stuck at 2995? Either The Finale is missing: your cap is 2995 and EXP will not help. Or a secret granted you fewer than 5 levels, your cap still rose by 5, and the levels owed will come in by earning EXP elsewhere. To tell them apart, type 9999 into a category of the 
Stats menu: the number of points accepted plus 1 is your personal cap.
The cap rises as soon as a secret is finished, whatever your level: a secret done at level 100 takes your cap to 2805. The fixes are detailed on the Secret Levels page, and each secret's walkthrough on the Island Secrets page.

Bounty, Honor, and PvP
- PvP unlocks above level 20, and it automatically reactivates 15 minutes after a PvP death (unless you reactivate it yourself before).
- At max level (2800), you only gain Bounty from opponents within 25% of your level, so level 2100 or higher. This range is widest at level 2105: you can then gain it from players between levels 1625 and 2800. Out of range, the game displays "No reward, Level difference too high!".
- When you gain Bounty or Honor, a message like "Earned [amount] from killing [player]! Score: #/3" appears.
- From 250,000 Bounty/Honor onwards, enemies don't drop more; from 2.5 M onwards, bosses don't either. The total cap is 30 M.
Farming EXP efficiently
- Farming Sea Beasts for EXP is inefficient: they mainly serve to make you money.
- In
Third Sea, relying on 
Elemental fruits' immunity is a bad idea: the activation levels required are very high and most enemies have 
Aura. Prioritize Buddha or a fruit suited for farming. - With an active 2x EXP (shop or codes), you gain 5 extra seconds of double EXP after each death, to offset respawn time.

Gacha price increases with your level
The cost of a Blox Fruit Gacha draw increases with your level: around 32,350 Beli at level 50, versus 444,850 Beli at max level (price without Roblox Plus or 
Premium). If you want to roll fruits cheap, do it early.

Trainee quests every three seconds: 375,909,459 quests to repeat, for a total of 112,772,837,596 EXP. - To find out your current level cap: in the Stats menu, type a very large number (9999 for instance) into one category. The game stops at the number of points you can still put there; that figure plus 1 gives your cap: 2995 with the 39 known secrets, 3000 if levels are owed to you after the 2 level bug. Handy for counting your Secret Levels.

- Correction: the actual reachable maximum is 2995, not 3000. Field check on 18 September (every quest done, stuck at 2995): the source announces 40 secrets but documents only 39, that is 195 secret levels.
- The 10 September fix raised the technical wall from 2995 to 3000 without granting the 5 missing levels: 3000 remains theoretical until the 40th secret is located.
- Added the two possible causes of being stuck at 2995 (missing 40th secret or the 2 level bug) and the Stats menu test to tell them apart.
