Prison

Island

The Prison is a large circular fortress in the First Sea, west of Fountain City, designed for levels 190 to 250. Long known as the three-boss island, it was reworked by Update 30: Chief Warden and Swan have been removed, only the Warden remains as a quest boss, joined by the Megalo Guard, a level 250 boss who only appears during one of the island's three secrets, and by a new enemy, the Ruthless Prisoner. It is also the island of the Remove Blox Fruit NPC, the one who removes your fruit, even though the source dropped him from its list without saying so.

How to get it

Sail west of Fountain City in the First Sea. In the island progression, the Prison comes after the Skylands and before the Colosseum. The dock at the front leads directly to the fortress's main gate.

What the island looks like

  • Two concentric walls, one inner and one outer, enclose the entire site.
  • The dock at the front leads to the main gate, flanked by two towers with blue roofs.
  • Once you pass through the gate, you come to a vast lawn planted with trees, with a small castle at the back.
  • Between the two walls stretches a flooded area covered with wooden platforms: that's where the Prisoners are found, and that's where you fight them.

Who you encounter there

  • NPCs: Jail Keeper and Head Jailer (quest givers), Boat Dealer, Military Detective. The Remove Blox Fruit (to remove your fruit) used to be listed here: the source dropped him from its inhabitants list with the rework, without mentioning it in its change history, so we do not know whether he moved or was simply forgotten.
  • Enemies: Prisoner, Dangerous Prisoner and, since Update 30, Ruthless Prisoner (Lv. 220)
  • Boss: Warden. The Megalo Guard (Lv. 250, new) only appears during the Mysterious Key secret.
  • Removed by Update 30: Chief Warden, Swan and the Set Home Point. You can no longer set your spawn point at the Prison: the source dropped it from the inhabitants list on 24 September 2026, and the Set Home Point page no longer mentions the island at all.

Head JailerWarden230Defeat Warden10,000 Beli + 1,000,000 EXP

The Ruthless Prisoners quest unlocks at level 225 even though the enemy is level 220: the source itself flags that gap on the enemy page, and the Quests page, repaired on 21 September, confirms 225.

Before Update 30, the table had five quests: Warden at level 220 (6,000 Beli + 850,000 EXP), Chief Warden at 230 (10,000 Beli + 1,000,000 EXP) and Swan at 240 (15,000 Beli + 1,600,000 EXP). The Dangerous Prisoners quest went from 7,400 to 7,500 Beli.

Island Secrets (Update 30)

Like every island reworked by Update 30, the Prison hides three secrets. The quest givers' Rumor dialogue option gives you the clue to the current secret.

Prison Break. Three "special" prisoners are preparing their escape: one is building a raft, one is trying to break through a wall, one is digging a hole. Turn on Instinct to spot them, they have their own animations. Get close: the message "Confront prisoner before attacking" appears. Interact with each one, then defeat him. All three done, talk to the Jail Keeper to claim the reward (the source has named him since 28 September 2026).

Where the three prisoners are

Mysterious Key. A key lies on the ground on the balcony above and behind the Warden (the central platform behind him).

The key lying on the balcony floor, behind the Warden

Pick it up, go to the center building and climb to the top floor: the key unlocks the closed gate.

The gate leading to Don Megalo's cell

Go up again and try to steal the coat sitting on the chair, Don Megalo's coat. A hostile guard appears after the dialogue: it is the Megalo Guard, a level 250 boss. Defeat him, finish stealing the coat and bring it to the Jail Keeper. You unlock the Megalo's Coat, which took the place of Swan's Pink Coat. Oddity noted by the source: the coat reuses the Pink Coat model but does not show in your inventory, and if you already have it, the game answers "You took the coat, but you already have one".

Awakened Warden. Every hour, the Warden has a chance to awaken; the chat shows: "A cell creaks open...". Once he has spawned in the center building, go to the rightmost room and flick the levers in order.

The levers in the rightmost room

The source gives it two ways that line up: by colour, red, blue, green, blue (Prison page, since 14 September 2026), and by position, 2, 3, 4, 1 numbering from left to right (Island Secrets page), so 2 = red, 3 = blue, 4 = green, 1 = blue. The fight against the awakened boss starts. End message: "(your username) defeated the awakened Warden!". The Secrets Master at Middle Town tells you which boss will awaken at the end of the hour (the final half hour, his entry has the details), and beating an awakened boss while dealing at least 10% of its health grants a free roll at the Awakened Boss Gacha.

What you get. Each secret is worth 5 secret levels, so 15 for the island, and once all three are done, the Prison becomes a destination of the Middle Town teleporter, inside the central building. The full step-by-step walkthrough is on the Island Secrets page.

Farm efficiently here

  • Only one boss quest since Update 30: the Warden, 10,000 Beli and 1,000,000 EXP at level 230. The island lost its status as the sea's best Beli spot, and the source removed the sentence that recommended it for money thanks to its three boss quests.
  • To chain the boss, server hopping from the Prison is still more profitable than from the First Sea Colosseum, where enemies are scarce and spread far apart.
  • Since Update 24, the glitch that allowed you to walk through walls has been fixed: the boss fight is more annoying to manage.
  • The Ruthless Prisoners (Lv. 220) add an enemy quest between the Dangerous Prisoners and the Warden, taken at level 225: 8,000 Beli and 900,000 EXP.

Good to know

  • Before Update 30, the Prison held the record for the most bosses on a single island, with three (Warden, Chief Warden, Swan), across all seas. Only one remains as a quest, plus the Megalo Guard for the duration of a secret.
  • There was no Set Home Point originally: it was added in Update 17, then removed by the Update 30 rework. The island will have had one for thirteen updates.
  • The Boat Dealer wasn't originally planned because of the Remove Blox Fruit's presence. It was eventually added in Update 23, once it became possible to hold down jump to bounce on water without dying.
  • Before Update 17.2, Prisoners didn't exist: only bosses were available to farm. Prisoners and Dangerous Prisoners arrived with that update.
  • Source note: the quest table shows 8 enemies to defeat, but a wiki note mentions "7/8" to defeat. Trust the counter displayed in-game.
  • Another source contradiction: its change history now dates the Prison's arrival to Update 14, while the First Sea page lists it among the islands present since Update 1.

Update history

Island : Prison·Released : Update 1

  1. Update 30 22 septembre 2026 Adjustment
    • The coat stolen at the end of the Mysterious Key secret now has a published name: the Megalo's Coat. It reuses the Pink Coat model, which Swan used to drop, but it is no longer the same item.

  3. Update 30 14 septembre 2026 Adjustment
    • The source's Prison page gives the awakened Warden's lever order by colour (red, blue, green, blue), which matches the 2, 3, 4, 1 positional order on the Island Secrets page.

    See update 30
