Enemies, also called
NPCs, are all the hostile opponents in
Blox Fruits: they live in small groups on islands and jump on you as soon as you provoke them. Beating them is essential to validate most quests, and thus to progress at all. Some wield
Aura, Blox Fruits, fighting styles, swords or guns, and they can drop Beli,
Fragments or materials. The source lists 114 enemies in the game.
How to get it
You find them grouped on almost all islands, near quest givers. The lists below show, sea by sea, the level of each enemy and the level from which
Elemental or
Blade immunity protects you from their attacks.
The two enemy families
Basic Enemies. You find them on the majority of islands, next to a quest giver, usually in small groups. They drop Beli and EXP, but the EXP from the kill itself remains ridiculous compared to the quest's reward: it's the quest that pays, not the mob.
They chase you either when you get too close, or as soon as you touch them, even very slightly. An enemy that was only chasing you because you got too close will abandon when you leave the area; one you've hit will follow you until a certain time passes or you're really far away.
Immunities. With an Elemental fruit, you become totally immune to certain enemies' attacks once you reach the required level. This immunity breaks as soon as the enemy uses Aura. Same logic for Blade, but only against enemies armed with a sword.
Boss. They occupy particular spots on large islands, for example the
Chef on the balcony of the biggest house in
Pirate Village. Much more health, much more dangerous attacks, better rewards, but a very long respawn time and sometimes conditions to fulfill to access their area. Most importantly: all bosses ignore Elemental and Blade immunities. Most drop
Accessories or
Swords, some drop
Guns and
Materials, with either undocumented chances or guaranteed drops depending on the case.

Good to know
- Enemies are the main source of money in the game, especially through their quests
- An enemy that touches water disappears instantly and returns to its spawn point
- Farming bosses doesn't give more
Mastery, contrary to popular belief: server hopping to chain bosses is slower than farming regular enemies - Most Third Sea enemies use Aura, which cancels the passive of Elemental fruits: this is visible in the immunity column of the table, filled with "None"
- The source announces 114 enemies in the game, a total it doesn't detail sea by sea
