How to get it

By boat, after the Prison and before Magma Village. From the dock, a wide stone path leads up a ramp directly to the arena.

What it looks like

A relatively large, grassy island with sparse trees and rocks. The grass is lighter on the edges and darker toward the center. In the middle stands a large stone colosseum with multicolored banners, with the Friendly PvP area at its center. A wide stone path connects the arena to the dock via a ramp.

The island is one of those reworked with Update 30 (Sea 1 Rework): the source changed its illustration image without rewriting this description.

Since Update 30, the Emperor stands inside the colosseum: a new quest NPC, the one who starts the Gladiatorial Combat secret. The source has not yet added him to its inhabitants table.

The First Sea's Friendly PvP arena occupies the center of the colosseum.

Quests

The island's secrets (Update 30)

Update 30 hid three secrets at the Colosseum. Here is the essential, under their official names:

• Gladiatorial Combat: head into the colosseum and talk to the Emperor. He starts a quest that spawns 3 waves of enemies in the arena, to be beaten without dying (source clarification of 28 September 2026).
• Previous Champions: around the Colosseum Quest Giver stand four statues, each using one of the four weapon types. Hit each statue with the skills or M1 of the matching type to make it strike a pose. Once all four are activated, a cutscene plays.

• Crowded Colosseum: after some time spent on the island, the chat announces "A roar of excitement echoes from the Colosseum." (wording of the Island Secrets and System Messages pages; the Colosseum (First Sea) page keeps the old "The Colosseum stands are filling up - the crowd wants a show!"). Go down into the arena, find the greyed-out target hidden on one of the pillars and shoot it: a cutscene plays, the crowd cheers, then a 90-second timer starts (the meter and timer are displayed at the west end of the arena). Hit 18 targets before time runs out (20 according to the source until 14 September 2026, 18 since then on its Island Secrets page). End message: "(your username) became the crowd's favorite!". If you do not activate the event by shooting the target before the delay runs out, the chat shows "The Colosseum crowd has cleared out" (added to the Colosseum (First Sea) page on 4 October 2026).

What it brings: 5 secret levels per secret, 15 for the island, and once all three are done, the Colosseum becomes a destination of the Middle Town teleporter (inside the town's central building). If the NPC only gives you 2 levels instead of 5, keep talking to him without leaving the game: it is a known bug.

The 3 chests

1. The first sits on one of the posts nearest to the dock.
2. The second hides in the very top-right oval opening of the wall closest to the dock.
3. The third is on the same wall, third column of the middle row.

Is it really worth farming here?

The source advises against lingering at the Colosseum, for two concrete reasons:

• Enemies are extremely spread out across the island and only spawn once you get close to them, which breaks any farming rhythm.
• Gladiators are buggy: they despawn as soon as they get too far from their spawn point.

The recommendation is therefore to keep grinding the Prison quests (Prisoners, Dangerous Prisoners, Ruthless Prisoners and the Warden, the only boss left there since Update 30) until Lv. 300, then head straight to Magma Village.

If you still want to farm on site, there is a trick: stand on the ramp leading up to the colosseum while the enemy stays on the ground below, and hit it with ranged attacks. It doesn't work every time.

Good to know

• Don't confuse it with the Colosseum (Second Sea): it serves practically the same purpose, but is considered better, with a more even playing field and a larger size.
• The Colosseum has long been cited as one of the blandest islands in the First Sea: basic NPCs, no bosses, no special quests and a very simple design. The source keeps this sentence, but it dates from before Update 30: the island was reworked, it now has its three secrets and a brand-new quest NPC, the Emperor. It still has no regular boss.
• The island's soundtrack is called "Into the Arena".
• It was the very first end-of-progression island of the game: in Update 1, level 300 was the maximum level.
• The island arrived with Update 3 and was reworked with Update 30.

   • The farming advice now points to the Prison quests (Prisoners and Warden) instead of "its bosses": Chief Warden and Swan were removed by Update 30, the Warden is the only boss left. Colosseum enemies only spawn once you get close to them (source's Colosseum (First Sea) page, 19 October 2026).
