NPCs

Quest

NPCs, or non-player characters, are the inhabitants you can interact with in Blox Fruits. You encounter them on almost every island: they give quests, sell items, or teach you fighting styles. You can identify them by three signs: the color of the glowing ring at their feet, the text displayed above them, and the symbol floating above their head. The source accounts for 146 in the game.

How to get it

No prerequisites for most of them: you approach, you interact. Some Misc NPCs do require a minimum of stats before they'll agree to talk to you. The lists below list the shop NPCs island by island, then the Misc NPCs you should know about.

Quest Givers

Almost every island has its Quest Giver, and rewards follow the level of the location. Each quest imposes a minimum level to be accepted, which prevents you from going straight to farm the highest islands in the game and skipping progression steps.

Most ask you to kill a given number of classic enemies, usually 8, and many others require a boss. A few stand out, like Trevor, who demands a Blox Fruit worth at least 1,000,000 Beli.

Since they are extremely numerous and very similar, the Fandom doesn't name them one by one: they generally bear the name of their island, like Desert Quest Giver, or that of the enemies they deal with when the island is very large, like Lower Mountain Quest Giver.

Misc NPCs You Should Know

Blacksmith, Set Home Point, Mysterious Man, Crew Captain, Trevor, Manager, Nerd, Bounty/Honor Expert, Awakenings Expert, Customer, Experienced Captain, rip_indra, Titles Specialist (Axiore), Aura Editor, Mr. Captain, Military Detective, Mysterious Entity, Erin, Angler, Lucien, Trinket Expert, Trinket Refiner, and Valentines Delivery.

Note: the source classifies several of them both in the shop NPC lists by island and in this Misc list. Aura Editor, for example, appears in the Shop NPCs of Middle Town, Kingdom of Rose, and Castle on the Sea, while its own page presents it as a Misc. The same goes for Blacksmith, Crew Captain, Experienced Captain, Trevor, rip_indra, Mr. Captain, Mysterious Entity, and Angler.

Things to Know

  • The game currently has 146 NPCs.
  • Some are inspired by Blox Fruits developers or popular YouTubers from the community.
  • It sometimes happens that an NPC loads slowly on connection, or doesn't load their outfit at all: they end up completely naked.
  • Dog House (Indra) is the very first NPC added to the game.
  • Arena Trainer and Horned Man are the only two quest NPCs to have ever given Fragments as a reward.
  • Mole, at Upper Skylands, is the last quest NPC for enemies to have a real name. After him, all Quest Givers only have generic names followed by a number corresponding to their island.
  • Water Kung Fu Teacher is to this day the largest and most imposing NPC in the game.
  • Removed NPCs or those that won't return: Blox Fruit Dealer Cousin, Norp, Wenlocktoad Over Heaven, Layandikit12, Treasure Inventory, and Colors Specialist. Party Shop, Valentine Shop, Magic Elf, Greedy Elf, and Santa Claws only appear during their events.
  • Treasure Inventory was the only NPC in the game whose glowing ring was purple.
  • Update 24 gave NPCs animations and improved their visual effects.
