The Mysterious Scientist is the NPC who sells microchips, which are the gateway to raids and fruit
Awakening. He also manages the
Admin Panel, the menu that enhances certain fruits. In the
Second Sea he hides behind a secret door in the
Hot and Cold laboratory; in the
Third Sea, he is much more accessible at
Castle on the Sea. He has been in the game since Update 11.
How to get it
In the Second Sea, head to the Hot and Cold laboratory in the cold zone. Unequip absolutely everything you're carrying, or the code will refuse to be entered, then input the sequence on the color panels: Red, Blue, Green, Blue, or 1, 3, 2 and 3 presses. A rectangular door then opens onto a very long spiral ramp: climb to the end, he waits for you in the middle of eight tubes. In the Third Sea, it's much simpler: he stands at Castle on the Sea, to the left of the
Set Home Point.
Raid microchips
You must be at least level 1100 to buy a microchip from him. However, if someone else hosts the raid, you can join it at any level.
| Paid in currency | Paid with a physical fruit | |
|---|---|---|
| Normal | 100,000 Beli, with 2 hours cooldown | any physical |
| Advanced | 1,000 | a physical Blox Fruit worth at least 1,000,000 Beli, no cooldown |
The Advanced microchip must first be unlocked, with conditions depending on the fruit targeted. As long as it remains locked, clicking on it displays the message "You have done nothing for us scientists." At the time this Fandom page was written, only
Phoenix and
Dough were subject to advanced raids.
The Admin Panel
Talk to him and choose Admin Panel to enhance your fruit. For now, only five fruits are affected:

Creation as the next addition to this list.
Things to know before hosting
Trading a physical fruit rather than paying in currency is almost always the right choice: no 2-hour cooldown, and 100,000 Beli costs more than most common fruits in physical form.- To pay with a fruit, unstore it first, then buy the microchip from its menu.
- You can host an advanced raid from the Second Sea, as long as you meet the unlock conditions.
- Any player from the Second or Third Sea can join a raid, regardless of their level. In practice, high-level players are not always happy to bring very low-level players along.
- You generally receive 1,000 Fragments if the raid is completed with at least 2 minutes 36 remaining. Below that, the reward decreases.
- To launch the raid once you have bought the microchip, press the green button in the raid area with the chip in your inventory, but not in your hand: according to the source (3 October 2026), the button does nothing while the microchip is equipped.
