Fisherman Blox Fruits: fishing, rod, and bait

The Fisherman is the NPC who handles everything fishing-related, and he's present in all three seas. The very first time you speak to him, he gives you a Fishing Rod and 10 Basic Baits to get you started. After that, he serves as your fish resale point, bait shop, and counter to check your Job Stats and Fishing Index.

How to get it

You can find him on the docks in each of the three seas: at Frozen Village in the First Sea, near the Sea Captain on the Kingdom of Rose docks in the Second Sea, and on the far right of the Port Town docks in the Third Sea.

Fishing Rod + 10 Basic Baits: given on your very first interaction, it's your starter kit to begin fishing
10 Basic Baits for 1,000 Beli: Basic Bait is capped at 99 in stock
Fish Buyback: he takes all your excess, except those you've favorited and the heaviest of each species
Job Stats: your Fishing Mastery progression
Fishing Index: the catalog of your catches

Fishing Index and Job Stats

The Fishing Index shows you the properties of your fish: their rarity, the largest size you've caught, and the species you've already fished.

The Job Stats display your Fishing Mastery progression as well as the bonuses you unlock as you level up. Get in the habit of checking them regularly: that's how you know when you can finally talk to the Angler, and what bonuses you already have.

Good to Know

Impossible to accidentally sell him a fish you care about: favorites and the heaviest of each species are automatically excluded from the sale.
The Fisherman arrived with Update 27.0.
Since he exists in all three seas, you never need to go back to repurchase bait.
