Rough Sea Blox Fruits: sea event guide

Rough Sea is a Sea Event that triggers randomly - the area darkens, the surrounding rocks disappear, and lightning begins to strike you and your boat. Sharks and Piranhas can appear and target you, including Terrorshark. It can occur at any Sea Danger Level, from level 1 (Low) to level 6 (????), it can also trigger in the Second Sea, and you don't even need to be on a boat. The community considers it one of the most frustrating Sea Events in the game, as much as it handicaps the player.

How to get it

You don't trigger it - it appears on its own at sea, at any Sea Danger Level from 1 to 6, and even without a boat beneath your feet.

To cancel it: leave your ship and move far enough away for the danger gauge to disappear. The Rough Sea dissipates with it.

Lightning, what you need to know

They automatically lock onto players - the hit is guaranteed if you do nothing.
They only target players, never other enemies.
They knock you down and immobilize you for a moment, which becomes dangerous if you're not on a boat at that time.
They also damage boats, slightly - 15 to 20 damage per impact.
They are unavoidable, but you can dodge them with Instinct activated.
Despite the paradox, Rubber and Lightning users still take lightning damage.

How to pass through without staying there

Activate Instinct before entering the area - it's the only defense against lightning.
Get a boat with health and speed from the Boat Dealer, for example the Lantern or the Guardian.
Don't seek combat on the spot - hunting Sea Beasts, launching a Ship Raid, or chaining another Sea Event during a Rough Sea is not recommended, the darkness and lightning make counterattack too difficult.
At night, at Sea Danger Level 6 (????), visibility becomes almost zero beyond a few meters - don't venture blindly.

What you can recover there

It is now at this location that you obtain the Pole (2nd Form).
Sharks, Piranhas, and even Terrorsharks can appear during the event and target you.
