Kitsune Island is a marine event exclusive to the
Third Sea and one of the most sought-after in the game: it's where the
Kitsune Shrine is located, which exchanges your
Azure Embers for exclusive rewards. It only appears at
Sea Danger Level 6, during a
Full Moon.
How to get it
You need a boat (any one), Sea Danger Level 6, and a Full Moon. Enter zone 6 at moonrise - the island spawns most of the time if you enter within 25 seconds after the Full Moon message - and it appears instantly with a system message. You can also wait in zone 5 and switch to zone 6 when the moon rises, but don't take too long: after about 5 minutes, it won't spawn anymore.
Rewards
- Access to the Kitsune Shrine, which offers exclusive rewards in exchange for Azure Embers
Good to know
- The boat owner must be on board (not necessarily steering) for the island to spawn: sailing on another player's boat won't trigger anything.
- Only one Kitsune Island per server: the first player to enter zone 6 triggers the spawn. Start your hunt in late afternoon, just before nightfall; leaving too early risks triggering another marine event.
- The island disappears after 15 minutes, but doesn't despawn if all players leave it. Tip: stay on
Prehistoric Island (it doesn't despawn as long as you're there), move away a bit, then head back to sea at the Full Moon rise.
Our take
The essential marine event for the Kitsune Shrine and its exclusive rewards: prepare your Full Moon in zone 6.
