The Player Hunter is the bounty-hunting NPC stationed in front of the
Castle on the Sea palace, in
Third Sea, right next to the
Elite Hunter. Like the
Wanted Poster, he randomly designates a player on the server and tells you their position. Only players who have PvP enabled can be targeted. His contracts reward 20,000 Beli and 50,000,000 EXP, and also count toward the
Jaw Shield and
Yama.
How to get it
In front of the Castle on the Sea palace (Third Sea), near the Elite Hunter.
His contract
| Objective | Rewards |
|---|---|
| Defeat [target name] (0/1) | 20,000 Beli, 50,000,000 EXP |
- The target is randomly selected from server players who have PvP enabled.
- He gives you their position when you accept the contract.
- If another player kills your target before you, the contract is cancelled.
- Once the contract is complete, a 10 minute cooldown starts before the next one.
- You don't get paid if the target's level is deemed too low.
What his contracts unlock
- Jaw Shield: visit
Tacomura after defeating 5 players on Player Hunter contracts. - Yama: by completing enough Player Hunter and/or Elite Hunter contracts. Both count toward the same total.
- To track your progress, speak to him on a public server and click "Progress": he shows you how many players you've defeated on his contracts.
What you should know before requesting from him
- Impossible on private servers: he doesn't give any contracts there.
- He can designate anyone, including someone from your own
Crew, an ally, or a
Marine ally. Be prepared for an awkward conversation. - He can also target a player mid-Raid. In that case the announced position will be Island 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or the Church of Prophecy.
- The
Pale Scarf is very useful for these contracts: it shows you the exact position of your target even on the other side of the map.
