Pirates are one of the two teams in
Blox Fruits, facing off against
Marines. Here you accumulate
Bounty (the bounty) while Marines gain Honor, and it displays on the leaderboard. The game sums up the faction in three lines: defy the Marines and fight pirates, build your own crew, and push your bounty as high as possible. It's by far the most populated faction, and the one that generally yields the most.
How to get it
Choose the Pirates faction when the game asks you to join a team.
How Bounty works
- Bounty is earned by killing players of a level close to yours or by defeating bosses.
- Example from the source page: a level 2800 player only gains bounty from players of level 2100 or higher.
- Starting at 2.5 M Bounty, bosses yield nothing. Same rule for Marines with Honor.
- You lose Bounty when dying to a boss or to a player in combat.
- There is no official objective to being a pirate: most do Bounty Hunting for bounty and prestige. Building a crew lets you pool bounties and aim for the top 10 on the leaderboard.
- Note: the source page contradicts itself on the allowed level gap: it first mentions a range of -25% / +1.33%, then a gap of less than 25% below or above your level. Only the numerical example (2800 to 2100) is consistent with the -25% lower bound.
Bounty titles
In
Second Sea and
Third Sea only, reaching certain bounty milestones unlocks titles.
| Milestone | |
|---|---|
| 5 M Bounty / 5 M Honor | Pirate Hunter (#019) and Bounty Hunter (#020) |
| 10 M Bounty | Warlord of the Sea (#021) |
| 20 M Bounty | Emperor of the Sea (#022) and Empress of the Sea (#023) |
Note: the source page associates "Pirate Hunter" with Bounty and "Bounty Hunter" with Honor, which seems backwards given the names. We're flagging this rather than deciding.
Building a crew
- You must be level 300 minimum to create a crew.
- Have your regular players join: no need to manually ally them each time you log in, and the crew screen shows each player's bounty and level.
- A crew is limited to 30 members. To aim for the rankings, recruit players with 20 M bounty or more.
Did you know?
- A pirate wearing the
Vice Admiral's
Coat (obtained from the Vice Admiral at
Marine Fortress) sees it displayed with a logo similar to
Greybeard's coat and red sleeves. - Unlike Marines, pirates cannot launch a quest to eliminate a player by clicking on their bounty notice.
- The NPC representing the faction is the
Pirate, at
Pirate Village, in
First Sea.
Strengths and weaknesses
- You can attack other pirates if you want
- You can create a crew (level 300+ required)
- You gain more bounty by killing a player of similar level
- Ships more expensive and slower than those of the Marines
- No automatic alliance: you must ally manually
