Marine Lieutenants are level 875 enemies posted on the left side of the
Green Zone, in
Second Sea. They fight with
Katana using its old [Z], without
Aura, which lets your
Elemental immunity work from level 897 onwards. The real problem isn't their power but their spread: they're very far apart from each other, to the point that the Fandom strongly discourages farming them.
How to get it
On the left side of the Green Zone (Second Sea). There are 5 of them on the zone and they respawn every 15 seconds.

Their quest and drops
The quest, given by the
Marine Quest Giver:
| Element | Value |
|---|---|
| Required Level | 875 |
| 8 | |
| Beli | 11,250 |
| EXP | 15,000,000 |
Drops per enemy killed:
- Roughly 650 Beli
- Roughly 30,000 EXP
The numbers speak for themselves: the 8 kills from the quest give 15 million EXP, versus roughly 240,000 EXP if you only count drops. It's the quest that pays, never the mob.
Should you farm them?
The Fandom is categorical: no, unless you really want to.
- They are very spread out on the zone and abandon pursuit mid-chase, which makes you lose more time than you gain.
- The recommended alternative is to continue with
Swan Pirates. - If you insist anyway: group the two Marine Lieutenants near the quest giver and hit them together.
- To cover the distance, use a flight move that deals damage: the flight from
Venom,
Shadow, or
Blizzard works very well.
Abilities that increase your speed also help a lot. - Like many
NPCs, their attacks can be avoided by keeping your distance or staying in the air.
Good to know
- No Aura on them: your Elemental immunity and
Blade immunity work normally from level 897 onwards. That's genuine comfort compared to the Marine Captain, their level 900 neighbor, who does use Aura. - Appearance-wise: combed brown hair, unibrow, blue and white marine coat with gold decorations, blue tie, buttoned white shirt, blue pants and black shoes.
- They've been in the game since Update 8.
Strengths and weaknesses
- 7,775 HP and comfortable damage for their tier
- Very spread out: movement consumes all your farming time
- They disengage mid-pursuit, which breaks your rhythm
- No Aura: Elemental and Blade immunity active from level 897
- Only one attack, the old [Z] from Katana
- Harmless if you stay in the air or at distance
