Bandit

Enemy

The Bandit is the very first enemy you encounter when starting on the Pirate side: level 5, 100 HP, stationed at Pirate Starter in First Sea. It only attacks in melee with no special moves whatsoever, making it the ideal punching bag for your early levels. It's the exact counterpart of the Trainee on the Marine side: same face, same stats.

How to get it

Pirate Starter, in First Sea. There are 10 on the island and they respawn 8 seconds after their death. The next enemy in progression is the Monkey.

Appearance and Behavior

Bandits have brown battle-worn hair and, like Trainees, the Serious Scar Face facial feature. They wear a brown vest, gray pants, a black t-shirt under the vest, black shoes, and cross-shaped bandages around their knuckles.

In combat, they only use the M1 attack, with no special techniques whatsoever.

How to Farm Them Efficiently

  • They are easy to defeat, even at the very beginning of the game.
  • A Cutlass or Katana is enough, as is any ranged attack or a Blox Fruit with a stat of 4 or higher.
  • The [Z] move of the Katana or Cutlass serves to pull them toward you.
  • Group them up then hit with AoE: it's much more efficient.
  • An Elemental fruit, particularly Ice, Light, or Magma, is recommended for clean grinding.
  • Fandom tip: attack all the Bandits, then position yourself behind the wooden barrier at the edge of Pirate Starter Island. From there, they can't touch you.

Things to Know

  • Bandits and Trainees are the two first enemies in the game.
  • They are also the only two enemies whose elemental immunity level is lower than their own level.
  • They are the easiest enemies to kill in the game.
  • They share the same face and stats as Trainees.
  • They are level 5, but the required level to face them is 0.
