The Training Dummy is a level 1500 practice dummy standing behind the
Arena Trainer on
Hydra Island (
Third Sea). With its 22,500 HP, its
Dark Blade that strikes as fast as the real thing, and its enhanced resistance to M1 attacks, it mainly serves as a punching bag for testing combos. Its distinctive feature: it recovers all its health in two seconds as soon as you stop touching it. Either you chain attacks without ever pausing, or you kill it in a single combo.
How to get it
Behind the Arena Trainer on Hydra Island (Third Sea). It respawns in 3 seconds, making it the fastest-respawning training target in the game.
Its quest
The Arena Trainer gives it, and it's only available once per hour.
| Giver | Objective | Rewards |
|---|---|---|
| Arena Trainer | Defeat the Training Dummy | 22,000 Beli, 40,000,000 EXP, 200 |
How it fights
- Its weapon is a Dark Blade, but it doesn't use any of its skills - just M1 attacks.
- It swings its attacks as fast as a real Dark Blade, dealing the same damage or even more.
- It takes significantly less damage from standard M1 attacks than other enemies, particularly from fighting styles and swords.
- It has
Aura, so
Elemental immunity doesn't protect you from its attacks. - It has the shortest aggression range in the game - it won't attack you until you've hurt it, or until you get within range of its sword after hitting it.
- Its base ATK is 1,100, reduced to 959.2 in practice.
The 2-second regeneration
Two seconds without taking a single hit and it restores all its health. It's the fastest regeneration in the game, so either you don't stop attacking or you kill it in one go.
Three clean ways to defeat it:
- spam the attack click with
Instinct active; - pull off a combo that one-shots it;
- use Prey Mark from transformed
T-Rex M1s.
Note: the
rip_indra boss from the
Second Sea, the one you need to beat to progress to the Third Sea, is just a reskin of the Training Dummy, with simply a longer delay before it regenerates.
Attacks that don't hit it
Its area blocks several ranged moves:
- the [Z] of
Kabucha; - the [M1] of the
Skull Guitar; - the [X] of
Spikey Trident, called Flying Trident Pull.
The Fandom gives two explanations for the same phenomenon: an "invisible barrier" around the dummy in its Notes, and a hitbox modification of the area in its Trivia. The result is the same - these moves don't connect.
Combos that don't work on it
Enemies have no delay between their attacks and their projectiles, and they're directly connected to the server - they play with 0 ping. As a result, a combo that works on a player can be interrupted on the dummy, which moves very far back instantly.

What it drops
Good to know
- It's the reference training target for testing combos - very resistant, but it respawns in 3 seconds and only uses M1 attacks.
- It has no useful immunity tiers - its Aura negates the Elemental passive regardless of your level.
Strengths and weaknesses
- Recovers 100% of its health in 2 seconds if you stop attacking - the fastest regeneration in the game
- Strikes as fast as a real Dark Blade, dealing the same damage or more
- Resists fighting style and sword M1 attacks much better than other enemies
- Possesses Aura - your Elemental immunity does nothing against it
- Only uses M1 attacks, never the Dark Blade's skills
- Shortest aggression range in the game - it won't move until you hit it
- A one-shot combo or M1 spam under Instinct kill it before it can regenerate
