Ship Engineers are level 1275 enemies on the
Cursed Ship in the
Second Sea. They wear an engineer t-shirt, ripped black pants, and a towel on their head, and fight bare-handed. They possess
Aura and
Flash Step, and they're very spread out across the ship - this isn't the best farming spot in the area, as the
Ship Deckhands just before them are more profitable.
How to get it
Aboard the Cursed Ship in the Second Sea, between the Ship Deckhands and
Ship Stewards. There are 6 of them on-site and they respawn every 20 seconds.
Their quest
| Objective | Rewards | |
|---|---|---|
| Defeat 8 Ship Engineers (Lv. 1275) | 12,500 Beli, 35,000,000 EXP |
What it drops
- About 900 Beli per kill
- About 60,500 EXP per kill
Ectoplasm: 50% chance
How it fights
- They possess Aura: their attacks pass through the
Elemental reflex, so your fruit's immunity won't protect you. - They also use Flash Step to catch you.
- They have no equipped weapon, everything is close combat.
- Their base ATK is 688.8, reduced to 488 in practice, for 11,500 HP.
- The wiki gives an immunity threshold of 1315 in its infobox (it was labelled "recommended" until 10 October 2026), while it explains right after that their Aura nullifies the Elemental reflex. Take this number as a recommended level for farming them, not as a true immunity.
Farming tips
- From the room where they spawn, aim at the ceiling and use Flash Step: you're teleported directly to the quest giver's location. Huge time saver if you chain cycles.
- The wiki clearly advises against farming them: they're more spread out than previous enemies and combine Aura and Flash Step.
- The Ship Deckhand remains far more efficient to farm, since it has no special abilities.
Good to know
- Their appearance is noticeably more menacing than nearby enemies.
- They have red eyes, like the old
Dragon Crew Warriors from
Hydra Island.
Strengths and weaknesses
- Aura: their attacks pass through Elemental reflex
- Flash Step, they catch up to you instead of staying in place
- 11,500 HP for a Lv. 1275, more durable than Ship Deckhands
- No equipped weapon, close combat only
- Very spread out across the ship, so slow to chain
- Flash Step toward the ceiling sends you back to the quest giver in one second

Update 30 11 octobre 2026 Adjustment
- Immunity threshold now shown as plain "1315": the source dropped the "recommended" label from its infobox on 10 October 2026. The advice is unchanged, their Aura goes through the Elemental reflex.
