Fishing

Mechanic

Fishing allows you to catch fish near water using baits. It's both a source of money, items (chests, scrolls, fruits), and a true leveling method - each successful catch gives 25% of your level in XP.

How to get it

Buy a Fishing Rod from the Fisherman, who is present at Frozen Village, Kingdom of Rose, and Port Town.

How It Works

1. Casting - tap once toward the water to cast your line. 2. Hooking - when the red exclamation point (!) appears, tap again to start the mini-game. 3. Reeling - hold or release to move the bar onto the fish icon (holding = move right, releasing = move left). The rarer the fish, the harder it is. Possible catches - fish (resellable to the Fisherman), Soggy Boots with no use, Sunken Chests (silver chest = money, blue = scrolls, gold = fruit, purple = fragments), and even a physical Blox Fruit (low rate, harder mini-game, like for Legendary fish).

Sunken Chests are capped at 3 per 24 hours, 6 with the Treasure Rod, and the Blessing of an Angler's Treasure enchant adds 3 more to the cap, 9 at most. The base figure is not stable on the Fandom: its Fishing page has said 4 since 19 October 2026 while its Sunken Chest page still says 3, and no patch note mentions a change.

Progression and Passives

Your Fishing level and skills can be checked with the Fisherman - you progress by fishing and through the Angler's quests. The Angler unlocks at Fishing level 20 and sells advanced rods and baits once you've earned their trust. Three passives improve (1 level = 150 exp) - Bait (increases bait effectiveness, 10 baits bought = 10 exp), Casting (reduces the delay before a bite, progresses by casting your line), Control (widens the mini-game bar, progresses by keeping the cursor on the fish). Fishing rod in hand next to other players gives +2.5% Fishing luck per player, stackable up to +15%.

Tips and Tricks

Four successful catches are enough to level up one entire level, making Fishing an excellent alternative to standard farming. Catching 500 Sunken Chests unlocks the title "Treasure Catcher" (no visible counter in-game). A bait listed as "Any" in the fish tables means Basic Bait, Kelp Bait and Good Bait only, nothing else. On legendary species that option has a very low catch rate, so use the bait dedicated to the species.

Update history

Mechanic : Fishing·Released : Update 27.0

  1. Update 30 19 octobre 2026 Adjustment
    • Sunken Chest cap: the page said 4 chests per 24 hours and 6 with the Blessing of an Angler's Treasure enchant, wording the source dropped on 14 August 2026. It now says 3 per 24 hours, 6 with the Treasure Rod and 9 with the enchant, matching the Sunken Chest page. The Fandom's Fishing page went back to 4 on 19 October 2026 with no patch note while its Sunken Chest page still says 3: the discrepancy is noted on the page.
