Fish are the fish stored in your stash, obtained by fishing since Update 27.0. They are used to cook, craft potions and sell for Beli. Each species has its rarity, fishing locations, baits and weight range - from the common
Catfish to the mythical
Gravelhead Shark weighing nearly a ton.
How to get it
Equip a fishing rod, cast your line and click when the red exclamation point appears. Then keep the green rectangle over the fish symbol until you fill the bar below - the fish is yours.
How to Fish
You need a fishing rod first. Cast your line, wait for the red exclamation point and click - the minigame starts. Keep the green rectangle over the fish symbol until the bar below fills up, and your catch lands in your stash.
Two clarifications:
- In the tables below, a 'basic' bait means basic, kelp or good bait. Other bait types have their own targets.
- When you hook a
Mythical fish, a 'what is this?' bubble appears with a
Terrorshark animation, then you must succeed at a harder version of the minigame to actually catch it.
The list of catchable fish
'Everywhere' = catchable in all waters.
Baits in parentheses are not required, they just make the catch easier.

Special mention for
Soggy Boot (Uncommon) - the soggy boot you'll reel in everywhere. It's not a fish, just a trophy of bad luck.
Event and Unobtainable Fish
These entries exist in the index but are not currently catchable (or no longer catchable):

The four Christmas fish (Reindeer Bullfish, Snowman Marlin, Gingerbread Sturgeon, Peppermint Fish) arrived with
Update 29.
Selling Prices at the
Fisherman
The price depends only on weight, not rarity:
| Weight | Price |
|---|---|
| Less than 2 kg | 1,000 Beli |
| 3 kg | 1,500 Beli |
| More than 3 kg | 2,000 Beli |
In theory, a full inventory (300 fish over 2 kg) can net up to 598,000 Beli at once.
Special Fish - Shiny, Celestial and Corrupted
- Shiny Fish: they were found in
Golden Whirlpools, which appeared near islands during the first 10 minutes of each new hour (Golden Whirlpool Event, ended). No VFX on the model, no special effect in inventory, and no resale bonus.
- Celestial Fish: catchable with the
Shell (Celestial) rod (unobtainable today) or in
Celestial Whirlpools, which spawned every 5 minutes in
Celestial Domain, an island from the 50B event. They could be sold or traded to the
Celestial Fisherman (unavailable).
- Corrupted Fish: same principle with the
Shark (Corrupted) rod (unobtainable) or
Corrupted Whirlpools from
Oni Realm, another 50B event island. Their buyer, the
Oni Fisherman, is also unavailable.
- The combo of both: fishing with Shark (Corrupted) (10% chance of Corrupted enchant per catch) in a Celestial Whirlpool (100% Celestial enchant) gave a 10% chance of having both enchants on the same fish. Small catch - in inventory, only the Corrupted effect showed.
These traits arrived progressively - Corrupted in Update 27.1, Celestial in 27.3 and Shiny in 27.4.
Good to Know
- Ghostfish, Deepglow Oarfish and Angler fish at the Cursed Ship... except there's no fishing spot inside - you have to glitch out of the ship to catch them.
- Your inventory is limited to 300 fish (and 99 Soggy Boots). Once full, the game warns you that you can't carry more catches - release some or go sell to the Fisherman.
- To avoid selling a fish by mistake, favourite it: in your inventory, click the star next to the equip button. The feature arrived with Update 30, after months where the Fisherman mentioned it without anyone knowing how to do it.
- If you're hunting Legendary or Mythical, get the Conserve Bait skill - it keeps you from re-crafting baits repeatedly.
- Barracuda has a special spawn - besides underwater zones, it appears near whirlpools, except at the Whirlpool location in the
First Sea. - Catching a Mythical at Tiki Outpost darkens the island's clouds during the animation, like in
Rough Sea.
Did You Know?
- During the Red King and RIP events, giving a Celestial or Corrupted fish to the event fisherman with tokens already maxed out gave absolutely nothing.
- The Dragon Koi was only seen in the Update 27.0 trailer, caught by admin
Uzoth in the
Dragon Dojo pond. What rod, what bait? Complete mystery - it's considered unobtainable.
