Greybeard

Raid Boss

Greybeard is the Raid Boss of the First Sea, and the only one: Lv. 750, 303,750 HP, he arrives at the Marine Fortress with the abilities of unawakeneed Quake and a Bisento in hand. He has no Aura. He is the one who allows you to transform the Bisento into Bisento V2, and he offers 3 free levels with each kill.

How to get it

He appears alone at the Marine Fortress in the First Sea: five hours after a server opens, then every four hours. The entire server then receives the message 'Loud tremors are being heard from across the seas'. He leaves after 15 minutes if he is not defeated. If he remains unfindable, the best method is server hopping from the Marine Fortress.

The source cleared up its old ambiguity on 19 September 2026: the delay depends on how he left. If he despawned on his own after his 15 minutes, he comes back 4 hours later; if he was killed, you have to wait 6 hours.

What he drops

  • 3 levels
  • Approximately 10,000 Beli
  • Bisento V2, only if you already own the Bisento

He wears the Marine Coat, but he never drops it.

His attacks

Since Update 30 he no longer uses Quake. He alternates between the Bisento (V1) and awakened Light, switching at half health: above 50% HP he uses the Bisento abilities, below that he switches to awakened Light.

AttackWhat he doesDamageHow to avoid it
Divine ArrowHe fires a near instant blast of pure light.Approximately 600A dash or Flash Step is enough, and Instinct dodges it easily.
Lightspeed DestroyerHe grabs you, blitzes across the ground with you, then smashes you into the floor.650 to 750Dash or Flash Step. The dash can be dodged with Instinct.
Wrath of GodHe rains a barrage of light beams over the area from the sky.Approximately 800Dash or Flash Step. The dash can be dodged with Instinct.
Quake SphereHe uses the Bisento to detonate a sphere of pure air around him.1,000 to 1,300Gain height (flight or Air Jump), climb onto a building roof, or stay out of reach of his M1s.

How to beat him

  • Aim for Lv. 800 minimum: he hits very hard for the First Sea.
  • He attacks every 5-7 seconds. If you can only strike in melee, time your assaults to this rhythm and retreat between attacks.
  • Fruits with good stun, long range, and high damage are most effective: Ice, Light, Magma, Lightning.
  • An Awakened Buddha solos him without issue: the range allows you to hit continuously while taking his blows.
  • Otherwise, bring backup. In the First Sea, facing him with multiple people is highly recommended.
  • Don't stay at the edge of the island: the knockback from his attacks can send you to the sea, which is fatal for a fruit user without water protection.
  • If you are struggling to run into him, server hop from the Marine Fortress: it's the fastest way to find him.

Good to know

  • He is the only Raid Boss of the First Sea, and the only Raid Boss in the game with a respawn timer.
  • Despite his name, he has no beard: it's an oversized gray mustache.
  • He was fully redesigned in Update 30, at the same time as his fruit changed from Quake to Light.

Our take

The must-visit encounter for First Sea players: 3 free levels every 4 hours and the only way to obtain Bisento V2.

Update history

Raid Boss : Greybeard·Released : Update 3.5

  1. Update 30 21 septembre 2026 Adjustment
    • Greybeard was reworked: the source now documents a completely different moveset. Unawakened Quake and its three attacks (Quake Wave, Quake Erupt, Dual Tsunami) give way to the Bisento V1 above half health, then to awakened Light below it, with four attacks (Divine Arrow, Lightspeed Destroyer, Wrath of God, Quake Sphere). The source change history confirms the visual redesign and the fruit change, from Quake to Light.
    • The coat he wears but never drops is the Marine one, not the Pirate one.

  2. Update 30 19 septembre 2026 Adjustment
    • The source finally splits Greybeard's two respawn delays: 4 hours if he despawned on his own after his 15 minutes, 6 hours if he was killed. This entry therefore replaces its vague 4 to 6 hours range with the two cases.

  3. Update 3.5 vers 2019 Release
    • Added to the game.
