Tyrant of the Skies

Raid Boss

"Wings of wrath descend upon intruders." The Tyrant of the Skies is the Level 2600 Raid Boss at Tiki Outpost in the Third Sea, and has 1,113,000 HP - the largest health bar of all Raid Bosses in the game, events excluded. It fights using the abilities of the Eagle fruit (Parrot skin) plus an exclusive move; it's the only enemy in the game capable of flying, and its death grants access to Submerged Island. Along with the Core, it's also one of only two NPCs capable of dropping a physical Blox Fruit.

How to get it

It doesn't appear on its own - you need to solve the Tiki Outpost puzzle in the Third Sea.

  1. Kill 300 enemies at Tiki Outpost until the eyes of the two falcon statues turn red. Each eye requires 75 kills, so 300 kills for all four eyes.
  2. Once all four eyes are lit, break three times all the jars in the boss area to summon it.
  • All enemies killed at Tiki Outpost count toward the total, regardless of type.
  • The eyes never turn off as long as the Tyrant hasn't been summoned - you can stop farming and come back later.
  • Jars are placed randomly - sometimes there are none breakable on the server.
  • When it arrives, three things change: the boss area turns bright yellow, the island renames to Liberation of Tiki Outpost, and the music changes to Lizard Bandit Clan.
  • No cooldown or limit on re-summoning after its death - you can summon it repeatedly.
  • Change servers to find one where the Tyrant hasn't been summoned recently.

What it drops

Guaranteed on every victory:

Possible drops, not guaranteed:

  • Feathered Visage
  • One random Eagle skin recipe (Chromatic V2 skin is excluded from the draw)
A random Eagle skin recipe, one of the Tyrant's possible drops.
  • The physical Eagle fruit
The physical Eagle fruit, one of Tyrant of the Skies' possible drops.
The physical Gravity fruit, the other fruit the Tyrant can drop.

Its attacks

AttackWhat it doesInstinct
Normal AttackIt fires explosive feathers at its target, often chained with Feather Storm to increase damageCan be dodged with Instinct
Feather StormA barrage of short-range slashing strikes that stuns and damages everything around it; this is its favorite move, it uses it very often-
Bone CrusherIt charges at its target, launches them into the air, slashes them, then slams them to the ground-
Tyrant's WrathIt sends explosive feathers in all directions, which explode into area damageBreaks Instinct

How to defeat it

  • Come with at least 5 players so it progresses quickly. An Awakened Buddha at max level significantly reduces this requirement.
  • Low level? Put your stats into fighting style and defense. With an Awakened Buddha and a good fighting style, solo or duo is possible even without being max level.
  • If there are no Elite Pirates on the server, the Elite Hunter can give you a quest to kill the already-summoned Tyrant - bonus rewards included.
  • 6 levels per kill and no limit on re-summoning - it's one of the best ways to reach max level.

Good to know

  • Appearance: massive build, brown spiky hair, red vest, blue and gold shorts, black boots, tribal tattoos, golden bird-shaped helmet (the Feathered Visage), and immense red, yellow and blue wings streaked with light.
  • It carries the Flail but never uses it - it uses Eagle moves except for Soaring Talon and Wind Burst.
  • It has the largest health pool of all Raid Bosses, excluding event Raid Bosses.
  • It's the only enemy in the game capable of flying.
  • Along with the Core, these are the only two NPCs in the game capable of dropping a Blox Fruit - Eagle or Gravity for the Tyrant, any random fruit for the Core.
  • The statues used to summon it look more like falcons than eagles, likely a nod to the Eagle fruit rework that came in Update 26.
The statues used to summon the Tyrant, which look more like falcons than eagles.
  • It's clearly inspired by Huitzilopochtli and Aztec imagery.
  • Arrived with Update 26.
  • Warning: the source contradicts itself on one point - it presents it as "the first and only" boss in the main game to use a Beast fruit, then adds in the same sentence that the Unbound Werewolf is the second. So there are at least two.

Our take

An XP machine - 6 levels and 1,500 Fragments per kill, re-summoned infinitely - perfect for reaching max level in a group.

  2. Update 30 30 septembre 2026 Adjustment
    • The source page removed its tip that relied on an exploiter farming Tiki Outpost so that only the jars would be left to break: this entry drops it too. The steps (300 kills, then the jars) are unchanged.
