Cake Prince is a
Raid Boss Lv. 2300 with 711,500 HP, fought in the
Dimensional Shift, off the coast of the
Sea of Treats (
Third Sea). It combines the abilities of
Dough unawakenned and the [Z] of
Spikey Trident. A more affordable version of
Dough King, it's farmed for its 1,000
Fragments, 3 levels, guaranteed
Pale Scarf, and Dough Commander title.
How to get it
Kill 500 enemies at Cake Land (Sea of Treats), then talk to
drip_mama. The Dimensional Shift appears - everyone's screen shakes, a rumbling sound is heard, and a server message announces "A dimension has spawned." A second message, "The dimension has disappeared.", appears when the boss dies or time runs out. You have 7 minutes and 30 seconds before despawn, and you must deal at least 10% of its HP, that is 71,150 damage, to receive drops.
What it drops
Guaranteed: - 3
Levels - Around 50,000 Beli - 1,000 Fragments - 57,500
Bounty/Honor - The Pale Scarf - The title Dough Commander (Title #174)
Possible drop: - The Spikey Trident
Beware of the most common confusion: the
Mirror Fractal never drops from Cake Prince. It's Dough King that gives it.
Its four attacks
It uses the abilities of Dough unawakenned, plus the [Z] of Spikey Trident.
| Attack | What it does |
|---|---|
| Fried Dough | It transforms its arm into a medium-sized oval mass of red-orange dough, then fires it. On contact with the ground or at maximum range, the dough explodes and deals area damage. If it touches your hitbox directly, it knocks you back. |
| Sticky Dough | It creates a long dough lasso. If it catches a nearby player, they are seized, lifted, then slammed to the ground. The attack doesn't break |
| Restless Dough Barrage | It makes rings appear around its target. The rings fire fists at high speed at anything in range. It immobilizes you in place and breaks Instinct. |
| Dough Hurricane | It dashes straight ahead. If it hits you during the dash, it pushes dough into your chest while continuing its course, dealing damage and stunning you. |
How to defeat it
- Come in a group. The source recommends a minimum of 2-3 players, then advises later to go higher than three. Join the
Marines when the boss spawns, or team up as
Pirates, to avoid fighting each other. - Positioning, a point on which the source contradicts itself. Several tips say to stay at a distance and hit from range, because of the Restless Dough Barrage it spams. Another recommends the opposite: stay close to dodge Dough's [Z] and [X] and heavily punish a missed [V], even if it means backing up and zoning when you're down to around 1,000 HP. It's up to you to choose based on your kit; with
Buddha, melee works very well.
Stun it. Moves with long stuns neutralize it: Dough's [V], Ice's [C] and [V],
Dark V2's [X] and [C].- Its [V] of Dough is the real danger: long stun and Instinct break. If you anticipate the move, get out of the hitbox with
Flash Step and punish it - it keeps the move even when it doesn't hit anyone. Best case scenario: transformed Buddha, spamming M1s that don't make you dash. - Tank the [V]: use a defensive race V3 ability as soon as you take it, then chain with
Godhuman's [Z] or [C] the second it ends. - Reposition: when Spikey Trident's [Z] or Dough's [Z] ejects you, a Flash Step brings you back to the ground, unless you're low on health and need to regenerate.
- Far from it, it pulls out Dough's [X]. Use Instinct to dodge it.
- Maximize M1s: autoclicker recommended by the source, with
Sharkman Karate or
Cursed Dual Katana for M1 damage. Buddha plus
Ghoul V3 or higher, with the
Ghoul Mask, is the recommended combination.
Race Awakening is strongly recommended: damage, defense, speed, and stun all increase at once.
Good to know
- All its moves have very short cooldowns, giving the impression it chains without ever stopping.
- Exploiters. There are almost always some auto-farming at the Sea of Treats on public servers. The source advises letting them defeat the 500 Cake Land enemies for you, then killing them once in the Dimensional Shift: they fly to the ceiling, pull Cake Prince up high, and make it difficult to hit from the ground.
- Terrain bug: when a player is stuck in the ground, Cake Prince doesn't attack them. You can then spam your M1s freely, or let your teammates hit from a distance while it's busy.
- During Update 29.2, Cake Prince and Dough King were temporarily impossible to summon: the NPC drip_mama was bugged and wouldn't load.
- The boss has been in the game since Update 17.2.
Our take
Good farming of Fragments and levels as a team, but if you're aiming for the Mirror Fractal, it's his older brother Dough King you need to summon.
