Update 12, nicknamed the Halloween Update, is the Halloween update of 2020. It raises the maximum level from 1250 to 1350, opens the 
Cursed Ship and its raid boss 
Cursed Captain, and most importantly it introduces two innovations that marked the game: the very first 
Awakenings of 
Blox Fruits (
Light and 
Dark) and the 
Ghoul race. It also introduces the 
Titles system.
How to get it
Released on October 21, 2020. The Fandom presents it as centered on Halloween content and Awakenings.

The First Awakenings: Light and Dark
Update 12 brings the very first Awakenings of Blox Fruits in the game, for Light and Dark.
The Ghoul Race
A new playable race arrives, with its three tiers:
- V1: you become stronger at night, with increased speed and life regeneration
- V2: unlocks life leech
- V3: increased damage, defense and speed, and 40% reduced cooldown on your moves, for 8 seconds
The Titles System
- Titles are obtained by completing secret tasks, for example finishing a raid in less than 5 minutes
- They display next to your username in chat, in the form ["Demon Eye"][mygame43]:
Erin!!! - The hardest ones to earn have custom colors
- A new NPC, the
Titles Specialist, displays the complete list: over 100 titles at launch

Quake V2 Nerf
- Added cooldown at the end of [Z] when it hits the ground
- Longer startup time on [X] and [C]
- Reduced hitbox and speed on [X]

True Triple Katana Buff
