Update 16, nicknamed Halloween Update, is 
Blox Fruits' 2021 Halloween update: it builds on the ideas from the previous year's Halloween event. It increases the maximum level from 2000 to 2100, adds two Blox Fruits (
Shadow and 
Revive), the 
Haunted Castle island, the 
Dragon Talon fighting style, the 
Hallow Scythe sword, and the 
Soul Reaper raid boss. It also relaunches the Halloween event with 
Bones and the 
Death King NPC.
How to get it
Released November 5, 2021.

Halloween Event
The Halloween event is reactivated.
- You get Bones by defeating enemies close to your level, with a 50% drop chance, and spend them on special rewards.
- The Halloween NPC Death King is added in all seas. He sells:
- Random Surprise
- Refund Points
- Reroll Race
Bug Fixes
- Players no longer lose bounty after 3/3 kills in PvP.
Aura effects now look slightly better on weapons.- Improved protection against exploiters, with many changes invisible to regular players.
- Fixed the infinite
Fury Meter glitch with 
Venom. - Fixed the raid glitch that would teleport you to the Lab if you held a move.
- Attempted fix of the famous
Buddha speed glitch: the patch notes indicate that the fix did not work. - Attempted fix of the glitch that allowed players below level 1500 to go to
Third Sea: this fix didn't work either, but these players can no longer deal any damage to the 
rip_indra boss.
Balance Changes
Buffs - 
Control: X move damage increased.
Nerfs - 
Magma V2: Z move range reduced.
Other Changes
- The
Server Browser is removed from the game.
