Power Meters are passive energy gauges that condition transformations,
Race Awakening, and certain enhanced attacks. There are three families: the Fury Meter (
T-Rex,
Venom,
Dragon), the Awakening Meter (linked to races), and Variable Fruit Meters, unique gauges specific to certain fruits. Introduced with Update 13, they track the power escalation of a fruit or ability up to its ultimate form.
The three families of gauges
- Fury Meter: the most classic, used by fruits with T-Rex, Venom, and Dragon transformations.
- Awakening Meter: exclusive to Race Awakening, it shows when you've accumulated enough energy to awaken your race.
- Variable Fruit Meters: unique gauges, each linked to a specific
Blox Fruit, with mechanics specific to it (levels of
Kitsune's Tail Meter,
Spirit's dedicated counter...).
The Fury Meter and Variable Fruit Meters are grouped under the name "Fruit Meters", since they all belong to Blox Fruits. In rare cases, a gauge can work completely differently, like Spirit's.
The Fury Meter (T-Rex, Venom, Dragon)
The basic rule: the gauge fills passively (roughly 1 minute 30 from empty to full), you can only transform with a FULL gauge, using skills while transformed drains it heavily, and empty gauge = automatic return to base form. But each of the three fruits has its own version:
| Fruit | Filling | Drain | Particularities |
|---|---|---|---|
| T-Rex | passive, accelerated by dealing damage | only when using transformed moves (no passive drain or from M1); taking damage makes you lose a bit | regains gauge when hitting while transformed: as long as you're touching, you can spam your moves infinitely |
| Venom | passive only, impossible to gain by hitting; you spawn with a half-full gauge | passive drain once transformed, in addition to move costs; the transformation itself consumes a good portion of the gauge | taking damage while transformed makes you GAIN a bit of gauge |
| Dragon | passive, accelerated by dealing damage; the final red gauge only fills by dealing damage | every transformed move, M1 included, but no passive drain; taking damage makes you lose a bit | full orange gauge = hybrid form (size close to a non-awakened |
The Awakening Meter (Race Awakening)
Exclusive to Race Awakening, this gauge is placed in the bottom left of the screen (unlike fruit gauges) and tracks your accumulation of energy until you can transform. Bright red by default, it slightly tints your screen with your race's color once full:
Once awakened (press [Y] or Awakening Slot), the gauge empties quickly while alternating rainbow neon colors, with smoke effects.
Unique gauges, fruit by fruit
Variable Fruit Meters boost their fruit in different ways: damage, visual effects, sometimes transformations or completely unique uses.
| Fruit | Gauge | How it fills | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| Feather Meter | passively, outside flight mode; impossible to recharge by hitting | Eagle's M1 drains it; improvable at the | |
| Build Meter | each block placed with [F] Fortify mode fills it (much weaker refill in | counts your blocks placed on the server: full gauge = impossible to place more without deleting already placed ones | |
| Tempo Meter | by placing the fruit's moves regularly, or by holding [F] Move Tempo: Prestissimo | white by default, GOLDEN once charged: all moves turn golden and a golden shield-aura gives, to you and nearby allies, roughly +50% speed, +25% defense, and +10% damage; the charge disappears after about 10 seconds without dealing damage | |
| Pain Meter | by taking damage or collecting Pain Ghosts left by your missed attacks | full, the bar flares red: rage state that significantly increases damage; it also fills entirely if you die to an enemy, triggering a last breath with damage capable of knocking down any opponent | |
| Gravitational Force | only by dealing damage with Gravity moves; drains very slowly after a few seconds without damage | appears when you equip the 3rd upgrade bought at the Mysterious Scientist's | |
| Umbra Meter | by placing Shadow moves, and automatically at night | light purple bar; its only role is to boost [V] Corvus Torment, which drains the ENTIRE gauge: the size of the dark sphere, the impact, and explosion damage are proportional to the gauge; also adds a permanent dark, cloudy aura, purely cosmetic | |
| Gas | Gas Meter | by placing attacks, or passively | works like a Fury Meter: it serves the transformation |
| Spirit | Spirit Counter | a Spirit Buddy is gained each time the mobile bar line completes, from the blue side to the red side | doesn't "fill" like others: it stores up to 9 Spirits, invocable on M1 to deal damage or stun; the [F] Sky Ruler mount depends on the bar's color when you press it |
| Fire Meter | passively during transformation, faster by placing Tiger moves | 75% = access to the held/cinematic variant of [C]; 100% = Blazing Form | |
| Magnetic Power | by collecting scrap left on the ground; any damage taken depletes it a little | three stages shown on your metal arms, which raise M1 damage, combo length, damage reduction and jetpack flight speed; at stage 2 an aura continuously pulls nearby enemies toward you, at stage 3 the pull radius and speed grow sharply (scrap is drawn in from farther away too); full gauge = transformation | |
| Kitsune | Tail Meter | passively and by placing the fruit's moves | blue bar with 3 tail levels, each with its bonuses, then transformation when it turns rainbow (see below) |
| Mode Meter | passively, at a fixed rate, only when your domain is active; hitting or being hit doesn't change anything | shows your mode (Dagger or Fist) and progress toward held [V] Total Concentration, which requires a full gauge; leaving the domain doesn't affect it, but if the domain deactivates, the gauge resets and disappears until next use |
Zoom: Kitsune's tails and Spirit's Buddies
Kitsune - the Tail Meter rises by levels, and the bar darkens in blue at each step:
| Level | Effect |
|---|---|
| 1 tail | no known bonus |
| 2 tails | speed boost (+100%, or x2) and dash, you run on all fours (unique animations for |
| 3 tails | three glowing orbs: [F] or an M1 deals damage over time with blue flames |
Full bar (it then turns rainbow), you can transform, which costs 1/3 of the bar. While transformed, you only regain tails by dealing damage with the fruit's moves; missing moves or being touched makes you lose some, and more tails = end of transformation.
Spirit - the Spirit Counter caps at 9 Spirits; at 9, the bar credits one more each time you use one. Shu and Ra, your shoulder companions, represent the blue side and the red side. Two Buddy categories:
- Heavenly Buddies (support): the Star Buddy heals you every 2-5 seconds (green glow); the Flying Pig gives a temporary speed boost (small golden orb).
- Hellish Buddies (offensive): the Toxic Mushroom spits gas close to Venom's C and passively hurts enemies; the Toad attracts nearby enemies with its tongue and deals damage; the Cursed Tree summons roots that stun nearby enemies.
Tips
- Switch back to base form when you've consumed about 3/5 of your Fury Meter: you'll be able to transform faster. It doesn't apply to Dragon, which must deal damage to recharge its red gauge.
- While transformed, chain as many skills as possible by placing them well: staying passive drains the gauge for nothing (except T-Rex and Dragon, which don't drain passively), and a missed skill can cost you gauge.
- The only way to fill Dragon's red gauge is by dealing damage.
- The
Kitsune Mask is recommended with Fury Meter fruits: it's the ONLY item in the game that speeds up its passive regeneration. It acts on Dragon's orange gauge, but becomes nearly useless for filling its red gauge. - Impossible to chain transformations back-to-back... except
Phoenix, which escapes this mechanic.
Did you know?
- Dragon, Venom, and T-Rex are the only fruits with the Fury Meter, and Buddha, Phoenix,
Mammoth, and
Yeti the only
Beast fruits without it. - T-Rex was the first fruit able to regain gauge by hitting while transformed (thus spamming its moves infinitely while touching), Dragon the second.
- Before its rework,
Dragon (Classic) regained gauge by taking damage during transformation. - The Fury Meter is often misspelled "Furry Meter": fury means violent anger, furry means covered in fur. Completely different, so.

Update 30 22 octobre 2026 Adjustment
- The unique gauges table did not list Magnet. The source added a Magnetic Power section to its Power Meter page on 21 October 2026: gauge filled by scrap on the ground, three stages that boost M1s, combo, damage reduction and the jetpack, pull aura from stage 2, transformation at full gauge. Row added between Tiger and Kitsune, consistent with the Magnet page.
