Don Swan

How to get it

He awaits you in Swan's Room, at the Kingdom of Rose, in the Second Sea. Defeating him is mandatory to upgrade any race to V3, start the Arowe quest, and unlock the Third Sea access quest. He respawns every 30 minutes, slower than most Second Sea bosses which respawn at 20 minutes.

His appearance: black robe with burgundy stripes, short enough to show his muscular arms and chest, burgundy shoes, Pink Coat, black spiky hair, wide grin, and a pair of Swan Glasses.

His Attacks

He uses the abilities of the unawakenedSpider fruit.

Attack	What It Does	To Know	How to Avoid
Cross-Spider Attack	He summons dozens of threads that impale his target from above.	It's Spider's X, but with far more threads.	Chain dashes left or right, and use Flash Step.
Ultimate Thread	He assembles multiple threads coated in Aura and sends them in a piercing formation.	Very long range, but avoidable if you're quick. The attack stuns and cancels any move you're charging.	Activate Instinct.
Over-heated Sniper	He fires a thick rope of condensed threads from his palm.	Unlike the player version, it doesn't break Instinct.	Activate Instinct.
Flash Step	He reaches you with a Flash Step.	He uses it as soon as you try to flee, to prevent you from hitting him from afar.	You can't prevent it, but you can go up in the air and attack him from above, for example with Light's X.

In his second form, he adds Spider's C, a very violent attack that must be dodged with Flash Step. The Fandom also mentions a Spider V in second form capable of dealing up to 5,000 damage, without detailing it in the abilities table.

Two Forms and Regeneration

• He has fewer HP than a standard boss, but compensates with massive damage, his second form, and insane regeneration speed.
• As soon as his health drops low in the first form, he instantly heals to full and triggers his second form, recognizable by the purple effect around him.
• If you stop hitting him for a moment, he regenerates very quickly. A small white effect around him signals that he's fully healed.
• In the first form, he launches a Spider ability every 5 seconds. In the second form, he switches to every 2 seconds.

How to Beat Him

• Buddha is an excellent choice: you can chain M1s continuously to never give him time to regenerate.
• Keep Flash Step ready to dodge his second form's Spider C, which hits very hard.
• Stay focused during the transition to the second form, it's significantly harder.
• If you die, come back as quickly as possible: while you're coming back, he regenerates and reverts to phase 1 at full health.

Things to Know

• The Ice Admiral speaks of him, under the name Swan, in his defeat dialogue, as part of the Military Detective quest that grants access to the Second Sea.
• Be careful not to confuse: the Pink Coat came from Swan, the Prison boss in the First Sea, removed in Update 30 and replaced by the Megalo Guard (the coat now comes from the Prison's Mysterious Key secret), not from Don Swan, who drops the Swan Glasses.
• He's the only boss to wear two accessories at the same time, the Pink Coat and the Swan Glasses.
• His room is located just below Jeremy's spawn point. From the mountain where Jeremy appears, with Instinct and enough EXP, you can see his nametag to know if he's alive.
• A glitch sometimes teleports you to the Cafe when you try to enter his room.
• Along with Longma, the Saber Expert, the Ice Admiral, and the Mob Leader, he's one of the only bosses without a defeat quest.
• Along with the Fishman Lord, Rip Return, and the Beautiful Pirate, he's one of the only bosses to have at least two phases (rip_indra's True Form has one too, but it counts as a raid boss).
• He's the only boss who offers a ship upon defeat, the Guardian. He previously gave the Swan Ship, replaced since Update 20.
• He deals the most damage of all Second Sea bosses.
• Unlike normal bosses, you must meet certain conditions to enter his room. If you force entry with Flash Step without meeting them, you can't damage him while he can damage you. Flash Step also allows you to exit.

1. Update 30 19 octobre 2026 Adjustment ▾

   • The Pink Coat note no longer points to a Swan still in the game: it says he was removed in Update 30 and replaced by the Megalo Guard, and that the coat now comes from the Prison's Mysterious Key secret. On 19 October 2026 the source specified that Swan's room is now the Megalo Guard's.
