How to get it

Head to the secret cave of Frozen Village, in First Sea: he's behind the brown door. Level 700 recommended. Be careful, this is a story quest boss, not a farming boss, as explained in the To Know section.

The one-minute respawn time is what's displayed by the Fandom, but it doesn't mean you can chain them: the page also clarifies that you can only kill it once, for the quest to access the Second Sea.

Where to Find Him

He stands behind the brown door of the secret cave of Frozen Village.

Since Update 30, he wears a blue robe over dark blue pants. His hair is light blue, his eyes are blue, and he keeps a serious look. Before the rework, it was a white suit vest, white pants, a red shirt, a green bow tie and the marine version of the Coat on his back.

His Attacks

He uses the old abilities of the Ice fruit.

How to Beat Him

• Keep Instinct active: he attacks with ice at all distances.
• Prioritize ranged attacks.
• His attacks have very short range. Climb onto one of the rocks in the cave and you can beat him without difficulty.
• Don't let Ice Surge hit you: once stunned, he combos you with his fists without you being able to respond.
• Run in circles around him: Ice Surge only targets where you were at the start of the animation.

What He Says After His Defeat

The Ice Admiral is the first boss in the game to speak once defeated, and his speech launches the entire rest of the story.

He takes his defeat with good sportsmanship, guesses that you were sent because of his dispute with Swan, and tells you that justice changes depending on perspective. Most importantly, he swears he didn't free Swan: he was actually trying to stop him.

According to him, his old friend the Magma Admiral made a deal with the Dragon Emperor to stage Swan's escape, when in reality they simply let him go. The Dragon Emperor runs an artificial Blox Fruits trafficking ring of which Swan was the manager, and he threatened the Magma Admiral with war if he didn't free Swan to send him back home, to the Kingdom of Rose. The Magma Admiral judged that the losses weren't worth it and accepted.

When the Ice Admiral found out, he tried to prevent Swan from reaching the Second Sea, without success: his fruit, Spider, allows him to move very quickly through the air thanks to his threads. To bring justice, you must go to the Second Sea and find him, knowing he's hiding, pursued by the Revolutionary Army who wants to make him pay for his tyranny now that the Marines have failed. He then sends you to the Military Detective.

To Know

• His attacks are extremely weak: with decent damage stats, you shouldn't have any trouble.
• He's the first boss in the game to speak a line after being defeated.
• The Swan he's talking about is Don Swan, the boss of the Second Sea, not the Swan from the Prison in First Sea.
• You can only kill him once, for the quest to access the Second Sea. After that, he becomes invincible to you and you can no longer deal damage to him.
• Exception: the V of Love and the V of Ghost still deal damage to him even after this first kill.
• Even when you can't hurt him anymore, he's still affected by moves, for example grabs.
• If you glitch in the room or don't meet the conditions, he's invincible, like the Saber Expert and Longma.
• By luring him near the door, Portal Dash allows you to glitch inside to fight him.
• Even if you die against him, you can retry as many times as you need until you unlock the Second Sea.
