Hellfire Gas

Raid Boss

Hellfire Gas is the Harvest Moon doors raid boss of the Halloween Event 2026: Lv. 3000, 415,000 HP, a fruit as weapon and no Aura. It hides in The Pit, a dimension that opens at random behind a Trick or Treating door. Beating it gives 250 Candy Corn, a Candy Concoction, 1,000 to 1,100 Beli and, very rarely, the physical Hellfire fruit. Its Fandom page first called it Hellrider on the morning of November 1, 2026, before three renames during the day: Hellfire Gas (Raid Boss) is the title kept, Hellfire Gas the name in the infobox.

How to get it

During the Harvest Moon, from XX:00 to XX:10 every hour, knock on the doors of Middle Town, the Café or the Mansion depending on your sea. When the portal is rolled, the message "Hellfire erupts from below. Something is clawing its way out" appears on screen: one of the nearby doors leads to The Pit. The event icon next to the compass gives you the exact spot of that door. A cutscene shows the boss starting up its chainsaw, and the fight begins once players go through the portal.

The flaming door that leads to The Pit

The portal stays open until the boss dies, or about ten minutes after the door was opened. It does not close when the Harvest Moon ends. If you die, you can come back after respawning as long as the portal holds. Once inside, however, there is no way out before the boss dies or you do: on victory, everyone is sent back to Middle Town, the Café or the Mansion. The boss page has nevertheless shown, since the evening of November 3, an exit portal in the fight room, without saying when it becomes active.

What it drops

  • 250 Candy Corn (400 in the first version of the Events page on October 31, lowered to 250 on November 1)
  • 1 Candy Concoction potion, which gives up to 50 more Candy Corn to everyone inside its dome
  • 1,000 to 1,100 Beli
  • The physical Hellfire fruit, as a possible drop: its own page gives no rate, the Hellfire page speaks of an "extremely rare, possibly around 1%" chance. A contributor tried to write 1% on the boss page quoting "a different wiki"; the line was removed within a minute, the figure only rests on the Hellfire page.

Its moves

Since the evening of November 1 its page shows the opening cutscene as a gif, but as of November 4 it still does not describe any move or fight pattern. A few tips only. The boss can be hit during its entry cutscene, but the page corrected itself on the evening of November 2: those hits deal no damage at all, no need to rush. And as against the Unbound Werewolf, your stats are maxed during the fight: the page recommends Dragonstorm, whose basic attacks make the most of that bonus, and since November 3 Eagle alongside it: in flight you hit the boss without worrying about the arena's lava, as long as you watch your feather meter. On November 4 the page received two more tips: Awakened Buddha with basic attacks, whose defense and reach let you hit the boss without seeing your health melt, or otherwise a high-damage fruit, Kitsune (with or without the Kitsune Ribbon) or Awakened Magma, to get through its 415,000 HP as fast as possible. That is the only thing the page says about the ground: there is lava. It fights with a fruit and the cutscene shows it chainsaw in hand, the weapon of the Hellfire mutation, though the page does not spell it out.

Good to know

  • It does not replace the Unbound Werewolf behind the doors, it joins it: the Fandom patch notes (Updates/30.1 page) list the Unbound Werewolf among the returning bosses, and the Trick or Treating page says a door can lead to either one. Its notes add that players prefer the wolf, which gives more Candy Corn (400 against 250) and goes down faster.
  • 415,000 HP, as much as The Great Pumpkin, the other raid boss of this edition, and almost double the 215,000 HP of the 2025 Unbound Werewolf.
  • The Potions page now gives the Candy Concoction as a reward for both door bosses.
  • Its name changed three times on November 1: page created in the morning as Hellrider, renamed Hellfire (Raid Boss) then Hellfire Gas (Raid Boss) around 11:00 UTC. The Candy Corn, Events and Hellfire pages call it either Hellrider or Hellfire Gas: it is the same boss. The address of this page keeps "hellrider".
  • Do not confuse it with Hellfire, the mutation of the Gas fruit: Hellfire Gas is the boss, Hellfire the fruit it can drop.
  • Leaving The Pit: The Pit page says you cannot leave before the boss dies, while the boss page has shown an exit portal in the room since the evening of November 3. Both screenshots come from the contributor who maintains the page's gallery; no text yet says whether that portal opens on victory or can be used at any time.

Our take

The Harvest Moon doors boss: Lv. 3000, 415,000 HP, 250 Candy Corn, a Candy Concoction and a tiny chance of the Hellfire fruit. Your stats are maxed in the arena: bring Dragonstorm, Eagle to fly over the lava, or Awakened Buddha to soak up the hits.
