How to get it
On your first encounter with the 
Fisherman, you receive a rod and 10 
Basic Bait. After that, bait is purchased from the Fisherman and the 
Angler, with some requiring a minimum Trust level.
How It Works
One bait is consumed per caught fish, not per cast. Bait quality affects two things: the delay before a bite, and the variety of fish you can access.
Where to Buy
Basic Bait costs 1,000 Beli from both the Fisherman and the Angler across all three seas with no conditions. Superior bait is obtained from the Angler and requires a certain Trust level, which varies by sea and bait type. Details for each bait are on its own page.
