Rabbit (formerly Mink) is the race of pure speed: x1.5 from V1, x2 at V2 and up to x4 with
Agility at V3. It's the fastest race in the game, designed for dodging, chasing fleeing players, or escaping yourself. In return, it provides almost only that: the community today considers it lagging behind other races, especially at V4.
How to get it
One of the four starting races: 12.5% chance to start the game with it. Otherwise, you can get it via the
Shop, from the NPC Tort, or via the
Event Shop /
Death King. - V2: purchase from the
Alchemist, like all races except
Draco. - V3: collect 30 chests. - V4: complete the
Trial of Speed, considered one of the hardest trials in the game (along with Draco's).
V1 through V3 Versions
| Tier | Buffs | Appearance |
|---|---|---|
| V1 | Movement speed x1.5 | Pair of white rabbit ears |
| V2 | Speed x2; dash slightly extended; dash energy cost reduced from 30 to 15 | No change |
| V3 | Unlocks Agility: speed x4, extended dash and reduced dash cooldown. Lasts 6.5 s, universal cooldown of 30 s | Rabbit tail |
Race Awakening (V4)
Ancient Powers (transformation): max stats, +10% damage, speed and health regeneration.
| Gear | Tier 1 | Tier 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Whirlwind | Each dash leaves a tornado behind you; tornadoes temporarily trap enemies | Much more powerful tornadoes |
| Lightning Cloak | Much longer dashes thanks to electricity | Unlocks Super Dash by holding the dash button |
Visually: the rabbit tail becomes a wolf tail; in transformation, the hair becomes white and in battle, and the tail grows larger.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths
- The best mobility in the game: dodging attacks and traversing the map becomes child's play.
- With a Melee stat above 900, the dash technically no longer costs energy: it regenerates faster than it depletes.
- Agility: ultra-effective dodges, much longer dashes and reduced dash cooldown.
- Whirlwind: drains
Instinct, traps players and completely stops a chase if you decide to flee. - Lightning Cloak: the fastest dashes in the game (
Cyborg being a possible exception); Tier 2 adds aerial movement to surprise your opponent or launch a combo. Unbeatable for catching fleeing players... or escaping yourself. - Excellent duo with Ice or Awakened
Magma, thanks to movement speed, as long as you have a good energy reserve.
Weaknesses
- Provides almost only speed: no damage, no defense, no healing. Whirlwind does little damage and is easily dodged.
- The maze of the V4 trial is very difficult, arguably the hardest after Draco's.
- An experienced player harshly punishes V4 trapping attempts, which remain Instinct-trickable.
- The buffs already provided by previous tiers make Lightning Cloak less worthwhile than the gears of other races: certain [F] skills or fast movement moves perform better than its Tier 2, and the Cyborg V4 combo (Energy Control Tier 2) +
Skull Guitar M1 is even faster than held Super Dash. - Despite its status as the fastest race, certain fruits and races can still outpace you.
Tips
- Speed boosts from accessories and
Tiger stack with Rabbit's. - Agility (V3) +
Pilot Helmet: the speed exceeds even
Light's [F], in both fruit versions. - Pair Rabbit with Pilot Helmet,
Kitsune, or Tiger to get the best speed in the game.
Did You Know?
- Rabbit was formerly called Mink.
- Before the arrival of Race Awakenings, Rabbit was widely considered THE PvP race. It then went out of style, overshadowed by other races and their V3 abilities (like
Angel and
Ghoul), which became among the most popular in the game. - The race is based on rabbits... but V4 adds a wolf tail, contrary to previous appearances.
Strengths and weaknesses
- The best mobility in the game: dodges and long-distance movement with ease
- Dash costs almost no energy with a Melee stat above 900
- Excellent for catching fleeing players... or escaping yourself
- Whirlwind tornadoes can trap players and stop a chase
- Great duo with Ice or Awakened Magma thanks to movement speed
- Provides almost only speed: no damage or defense buffs
- An experienced player easily punishes V4 trapping attempts
- Can still be outpaced by certain fruits or opposing gears
Our take
Pick Rabbit if mobility is your absolute priority: no one will catch you. But since the race provides neither damage nor defense, your fruit/weapon build will have to do all the work.
