Trading is the only way to exchange
Blox Fruits, as well as
Game Passes and scrolls purchased with Robux (aside from gifting a permanent fruit or Game Pass). Added in Update 15, it can only be done in two locations: the
Café (
Second Sea) and the
Mansion (
Third Sea).
How to Trade
- Sit at a trading table: another player must sit across from you, then a menu opens for both of you.
- The menu displays your stored Blox Fruits and purchased game passes. If either player (or both) has already used up their five trades, the menu won't open at all.
- If you have access to the Third Sea, the Mansion is recommended: there's an extra seat, and players there are often more advanced (so better fruits in circulation).
- Maximum five trades per day: the counter resets automatically at the end of the day (23:59, UTC+8). The rule is also described as five trades per eight-hour period.
Rules to Know
- Maximum 4 items per trade.
- The total value gap between traded fruits cannot exceed 40%. Adding Robux-purchased items increases this tolerance, up to 80-100% with high-value items.
- It's impossible to give a Game Pass or
Permanent Fruit to a player who already owns it. - Game Passes and Permanent Fruits can only be traded if they are stored in your inventory, which is done by gifting them to yourself.
- You can only store one copy of each fruit, except with the
+1 Fruit Storage item (400 Robux) which adds an extra slot. - A fruit stored in your inventory can no longer be dropped.
- There are no official exchange rates: fruits only have a Beli price set by the developers.
Permanent Fruits and Game Passes in Trades
- Since Update 17.3, permanent fruits can be stored to be traded.
- Permanent Fruits often go for very high-value fruits, precisely because they cost Robux. They count for 100% value gap; certain Shop items count for 50-100% (such as EXP boosts).
- If you receive a permanent fruit in a trade, it doesn't go into your inventory: it activates instantly (without replacing your current fruit).
- If you offer a game pass in a trade, do it in the Third Sea instead if you have access: players there generally have better fruits to offer, because they've been rolling fruits longer or have more success with
Factory raids and
Pirate Raids.
Scams: Pitfalls to Know About
Scammers and exploiters abuse bugs or cheats during trades to steal high-value fruits. The two most common methods:
- Freeze Trade: the scammer freezes the trade interface and prevents you from jumping, which locks you and prevents you from canceling the trade.
- Auto Accept: forces the victim to automatically accept a trade.
Before confirming, always calmly check the exact contents of the window, and be wary of any strange behavior from the interface.
Did You Know?
- The music played during a trade is called Drip Fruits. Removed in Update 18, it was reintroduced in Update 23.
- Before Update 17 (Part 2), the limit was only four trades before cooldown.
- On the feet of certain trading tables and chairs, you can read "Chad is the king of Blox Fruits," likely an Easter Egg. Same on the
Chess tables in the Second Sea and Third Sea.
