tort Blox Fruits: race reroll for 3,000 Fragments

tort is the NPC who rerolls your race randomly for 3,000 Fragments. You can find him at the Café in Second Sea and at Turtle Mansion in Third Sea. The draw is between Human, Rabbit, Shark and Angel, with no cooldown: you can chain as many rerolls as your Fragments stock allows. The very first purchase also unlocks the "The Grandfather" title.

How to get it

Two meeting points: the Café (Second Sea) and the Turtle Mansion (Third Sea). In Second Sea, tort has a computer next to him; in Third Sea, he doesn't.

What he offers

Random race reroll: 3,000 Fragments.
Possible races: Human, Rabbit, Shark and Angel.
No cooldown: you can reroll as many times as you want as long as you have 3,000 Fragments on hand.
The first reroll purchase unlocks the "The Grandfather" title.

Draw probabilities

The Fandom does not know the exact probabilities and assumes they are equal among the proposed races.

Your current race	Chance per race obtained
Human, Rabbit, Shark or Angel	1 in 3, or 33.3% for each of the three others
Ghoul, Cyborg or Draco	1 in 4, or 25% per race

In other words, the draw never gives you back the race you already have if it's one of the four: that's what changes your odds from 1 in 4 to 1 in 3.

His lines

Line	When
"hey sir, i will write something for you in JS that rerolls your race to a random one (only works once) if you pay me 3 000 Fragments. deal?"	You have the 3,000 Fragments
"I'm busy right now."	You don't have them

The "only works once" in the line refers to the script he writes for you: one payment equals one reroll. Nothing stops you from paying again right after.

Good to know

tort's appearance is based on Limeturtkle's old Roblox avatar, a manager and one of the bureaucrats of the Blox Fruits wiki. The source actually uses the feminine pronoun for this NPC.
The JavaScript easter egg is actually incorrect: Blox Fruits, like all Roblox games, runs on Luau, a different language.
tort replaced an old NPC named norp, who provided exactly the same service at the Café.

tort in Third Sea, at the Cafe, where he replaced norp.

tort in Second Sea, at the Cafe, where he replaced norp.

Note: the source contradicts itself about when this replacement happened: the tort page implies norp still had the role until Update 17.3, while the norp page dates the change to Update 11.
