What it is really for
- It is built for Sea Event hunting, not for PvP and not for regular grinding.
- The damage bonus only applies to normal or common Sea Events: Sea Beasts, Piranhas and the like.
- Despite its name, it gives no bonus against the Leviathan
Raid Boss. - Contrary to a stubborn belief, it does not increase the chance of a Sea Event spawning.
- It does not touch the odds of getting a
Fist of Darkness from Sea Beasts, a 
Blox Fruit from 
Ship Raids, or the 
Dragon fruit from the 
Dragon Eggs on 
Prehistoric Island.
Good to know
- It is the second accessory in the game to increase damage against Sea Events, after the
Shark Tooth Necklace. - It is still recommended to make
Material farming on Sea Events less of a chore, on top of the extra damage. - In game description: "A crown created by the forces of the sea. Its force compels you..."

The best friend of the Sea Events farmer; to avoid in PvP and regular grinding, and despite its name it doesn't buff anything against the 
Leviathan raid boss.
