Hunter Cape (Red)

How to get it

High drop chance from defeating an Elite Pirate (Third Sea). Can be tedious to farm on public servers: Elite Pirates there are often auto-farmed by cheaters.

Equipment bonuses

Why equip it

• Three useful bonuses on a single accessory, offensive as well as defensive: that is rare.
• The +80% run speed completely changes travel out of combat, chases and escapes.
• It is the classic pick for bounty hunting: you hit harder in melee, with swords and with guns, you take more punishment, and you catch your target or lose it. The source replaced that note on 18 September 2026 with a summary calling it "still the best PvP accessory", for every build except fruit.

Where it ranks among the accessories

• On health, it is second of all accessories, tied with the Kitsune Mask, the T-Rex Skull and Uzoth's Cloak. Only the Leviathan Shield does better, with +1,000 Health.
• On speed, it is second as well, tied with the Bandanna and the Dojo Belt (Black). Only the Pilot Helmet beats it.

Good to know

• In game description: "It certainly makes the wearer look fast."
• Added in Update 15.
