Candy is the rare and temporary currency of the Christmas event, not to be confused with
Candy Corn, its Halloween equivalent. It drops from enemies marked [Elf] and can be exchanged with three Christmas NPCs, notably at the
North Pole. If you play in the
First Sea, the priority recommended by the Fandom is to gather 100 to get a
Race Reroll from the
Magic Elf. It stacks up to 5,000.
How to get it
During the
Christmas Event, enemies whose names have the [Elf] tag (for example
Bandit [Lv 5] [Elf]) drop 2 to 3 Candies, and Elf bosses drop around 20 to 40.
Dungeons also drop them.

Drop rules
- The [Elf] tag can be spotted with
Instinct, or simply by getting close enough to read the enemy's name. - You only gain Candies from
NPCs that are at most 100 levels above or below your own level. - Exception: all bosses and raid bosses marked drop Candy, regardless of your level.
Raid bosses and Dungeon bosses can also appear with the [Elf] trait.

Tips and quirks
- The Fandom indicates 20% more Candies when wearing the
Red Ribbon,
Frosty Helmet, or
Peppermint Helmet. The page phrases it in the past tense, so verify in-game on the current version. - Bug: a Besto Friendo summoned by a
Love player can spawn as an [Elf] version. Same for your
Shadows in Dungeons. - Bug: the
Training Dummy on
Hydra Island can display the [Elf] effect. - Bug: a max-level player can still collect Candies from the [Elf] versions of
Coral Pirates,
Sea Chanters, and
Ocean Prophets, even though they are far below the 100-level limit.
History
- Update 13: Candies released.
- Update 25: how to obtain them changes. Candies drop more frequently, generally 2 to 3 per enemy, and enemies that drop them are now marked.
- Update 25, December 28, 2024: an enemy marked [Elf] located more than 100 levels below you no longer drops Candies. The goal is to prevent high-level players from stealing elf spawns from low-level players; these enemies can still appear with the tag, but they no longer drop anything.
